Work you'll do
Advise clients on the complex issues surrounding critical financial and economic events, and high-profile transactions
Identify opportunities for efficiencies in process and innovative approaches to completing scope of work
Participate in team problem solving efforts and offer ideas to solve client issues
Conduct relevant research, data analysis, and create reports
Maintain responsibility for completion and accuracy of work products
Assist in proposal development, as requested
Actively expand consulting skills and professional development through training courses, mentoring, and daily interaction with clients
The Team
Our Restructuring team provides a wide range of solutions to clients, spanning the complete life cycle of an agency's interaction with its counterparts. Our team helps clients conduct financial due diligence, analyze risk based events or transactions that may impact financials, and support client negotiations or settlements with its counterparts. We leverage innovative technologies and connect with our global network to provide our clients with deeper insights and more effective alternatives. Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's in Business, Accounting, Finance, and/or Economics, MBA Preferred
Minimum of 5 years of work experience in corporate restructuring, investment or commercial banking, and/or an established consulting firm or corporate positions with a financial or accounting focus. Prior corporate finance or restructuring experience strongly preferred
Professional certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Turnaround Professional (CTP), or Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA) or demonstrated progress toward such certifications.
Demonstrate experience in the following areas:
Analysis of financial statements and preparation of financial models including integrated 3-statement financial models
Understanding of the bankruptcy process, including understanding of key terminology, experience with the required filings, managing teams through the sequence and timeline of the process, and ability to work closely with attorneys, executive management and other advisors to execute a successful reorganization.
Understanding of, and ability to recognize opportunities to improve capital structures to enable long-term sustainability.
Understanding of the key aspects of liquidity management and demonstrated capability to build a 13-week cash flow model based on operational drivers.
Experience in preparing liquidation analyses, recovery waterfalls, and debt capacity models
Understanding of the key operational performance drivers of a business, including factors and levers to positively influence working capital.
Ability to extract, mine and create visualization of large data sets utilizing MS Excel, Access, SQL, Alteryx, Tableau, etc and prepare executive style PowerPoint reports
Communicates effectively to all levels of engagement management, professional demeanor and strong communication skills, both written and oral
Ability to synthesize complex analyses and voluminous data for presentation to executive management teams
Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives
Ability to manage aspects of multiple work streams and train lower level staff
Ability to assume full responsibility for quality control and accuracy of client deliverables
Experience researching market issues and identify market opportunities
Ability to analyze companies from a financial, operational, and industry perspective
Delivering projects that cover the full life cycle of business process improvement, including assessment, design and implementation support
Ability to manage the administrative aspects of client engagements including engagement letters, risk approvals and billing.
Ability to travel up to 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
