Technical Product Manager - Human Capital as a Service
The Human Capital Offering Portfolio focuses on helping organizations manage and sustain their performance through their most important asset: their people. Human Capital As-A-Service
The Human Capital As-A-Service Asset Group brings together our products and capabilities into one integrated offering to create sustained relationships with our clients. Human Capital's Asset group will continue to evaluate and incorporate new products and operate services in our portfolio as we grow. We will help clients navigate the future through Research & Sensing, CulturePath, EngagePath and other products.
Work You'll Do
We are looking for a technical product manager to join our product team and help us continue to set the standard for business applications used by Deloitte Human Capital clients and practitioners. This role will take ownership of key solutions within an existing product line and help develop new products. This person will be expected to work closely with management, engineering and quality assurance to develop and deliver on an exciting product roadmap. The role will provide Technical Product Management support to market facing product managers.
In our Agile product development environment, the Technical Product Manager is a critical member of the asset team that will partner with the asset owner and the development team to ensure the strategic roadmap is successfully delivered to our clients.
The Technical Product Manager will manage a portfolio of assets and their responsibilities will include:
Working with product stakeholders to create and maintain a roadmap and a backlog of user stories as well as participate in quarterly business reviews and implementation retrospectives
Leading release planning efforts including release schedule, grooming, cutover/deployment readiness, retrospectives and document reviews
Participating in sprint planning and execution including daily standups, weekly business reviews, sprint reviews and retrospectives
Supporting several other activities including quality/risk reviews, vendor management, and executive reporting
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Information Technology with previous engineering/software development background
Ability to help design and build analytics applications
Write clear and concise user stories with clear acceptance criteria
Work with business stakeholders and UI/UX designers to clarify requirements and create a release plan
Demonstrated knowledge of scrum and agile process development
Excellent project management and organizational skills - must be able to multi-task and juggle multiple priorities
4+ years of experience at a company developing software, and 2+ years of experience in a similar role
Comfortable working in a collaborative, virtual environment, providing and accepting continuous feedback and support.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Web applications
Excellent writing skills, ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical teams and attention to detail and quality
Familiarity with JIRA for managing user stories and agile release cycles
Strong sense of ownership and passion for technology
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Travel up to 15% (While up to 15% travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice.)
