Work You'll Do
An Agile Business Analyst is responsible for modeling business processes, identifying opportunities for software to achieve better business outcomes, and evaluating alternative solutions. They accurately capture a user personas' important characteristics, goals, motivations, and problems. They decompose the ideal solution into logical components. And they explain the benefit of the ideal solution to users and the business.
Conduct gap analysis of current state to target state business architecture
Research, develop, and document Discovery phase deliverables such as user persona profiles, user personas journey maps, system context diagrams, process flow diagrams (BPMN), and capability maps
Research, develop, and document Design phase deliverables for the product backlog such as epics, features, storyboards, decision trees, logic/truth tables, mathematical formulas, and detailed user stories
Provide input and feedback to finalize UI/UX deliverables (e.g., wireframes, clickable prototypes)
Collaborate with upstream teams (e.g., business SMEs, product SMEs, product owners, end-user representatives) and downstream teams (e.g., UI/UX design, engineering, architecture, QA) to gather input, solicit feedback, drive decisions, and ultimately document functional requirements
Facilitate scrum processes and ceremonies (e.g., stand-ups, grooming, and retrospectives)
Scope, plan, and drive working sessions with management, upstream teams, and downstream teams
Document key decisions, action items, and outstanding questions from meetings and distribute the meeting minutes to necessary stakeholders

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, or equivalent field
2+ years of experience as an Agile Business Analyst or equivalent position
Proficiency in Agile Project Management Tools like Jira
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
Mastery of MS Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Visio
Strong project management, planning, and organization skills
Ability to travel 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
Experience with a software product aimed at manufacturing companies and shop floor user personas
International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) Entry Certificate in Business Analysis (ECBA)
IIBA Certification of Capability in Business Analysis (CCBA)
Project Management Institute (PMI) Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA)
Experience providing feedback to UI/UX designers in design tools (e.g., Figma, InVision, Sketch)
Proficiency in Jama Connect
Proficiency in Unified Modeling Language (UML)
Proficiency in ethnographic or social science research methods (e.g., structured interviews, focus groups)
Experience with Quality Assurance activities and deliverables (e.g., acceptance criteria, test cases, manual QA testing, defect reporting, defect management)
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $61,000 to $101,000.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
