Work you ll do

Provide information assurance support at a civilian federal agency

Support activities for Assessment and Authorization (A&A) of new systems, and Information Security Continuous Monitoring (ISCM), in compliance with NIST SP 800-53 controls within the Risk Management Framework (NIST SP 800-37).

Develop and maintain assessment process documentation.

Recommend improvements of existing A&A and ISCM processes.

Assess system compliance with NIST 800-53 controls for:

New systems undergoing initial Risk Management A&A, for Authority To Operate (ATO) certification,

Close open findings in existing systems with approved ATO,

Continuous Monitoring of existing systems with approved ATO.

Adjudicate Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms)

Qualifications Required

The SCA role requires the following knowledge base and skills:

  • Experience conducting security control assessments based on NIST SP 800-53 r3/r4 and NIST SP 800-53A r3/r4

  • Understanding of Federal Authorization to Operate process, in accordance with NIST SP 800-37 r1 and FEDRAMP for cloud.

  • Understanding of various technologies and operating systems, such as Oracle, MySQL, Windows, RHEL, etc.

  • Familiarity of authorization tools and risk management tools such as CSAM

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience.

Additional US Delivery Center Requirements:

  • Ability and willingness to acquire U.S. Security Clearance

  • Must be willing to live and work in the Orlando, FL or Mechanicsburg, PA or Gilbert, AZ.
