Deloitte Project Manager - Accounting & Reporting Advisory (Quality & Risk Management) in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Are you an effective communicator, with strong leadership skills and a good decision maker? We are in the process of expanding Deloitte's Accounting and Reporting Advisory practice. In support of the expansion, we are seeking an experienced individual to join our team as project manager to our newly formed Quality & Risk Management network. Tasks will span from project coordinating for the Quality & Risk Management network to overseeing alignment efforts of quality and risk workstreams through our collaboration with Deloitte's Risk & Financial Advisory practice. We are looking for the individual to be a key team member to the network in managing, training, communicating and overseeing all related processes alongside leaders of our practice that will help you in expanding your experience to further develop your career. As an Accounting and Reporting Advisory Project Manager to the Quality & Risk Management network, you will interact with key leaders within the Audit & Assurance practice (e.g., National Managing Partner - Accounting and Reporting Advisory Services, Chief Risk Officer) as well as Deloitte's Risk & Financial Advisory practice leaders. Not only will you work independently, but you'll also collaborate with a diverse group of talented professionals. Other responsibilities will include:

  • Work closely with Risk & Regulatory specialists on quality and risk processes related to Accounting and Reporting Advisory

  • Project Coordinator for the Quality Risk Management network

  • Pre-screen client/engagement acceptances ensuring quality, accuracy and completeness of acceptance profiles

  • Assist and lead various ad-hoc projects related to the Quality Risk Management network including updates to technical How-to-guides and other various tools and resources

  • Assist in developing and facilitating trainings for engagement service center individuals responsible for executing new client acceptance responsibilities

  • Oversight of engagement service center responsible for executing new client acceptance

  • Work closely with Advisory PMO team and core working group to further align quality and risk processes between the two businesses

  • Assist or lead execution of ad-hoc projects

  • Bachelor's degree in related field

  • 3+ years of public accounting or equivalent experience

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite


  • Prior PMO experience

  • Interest in learning about the internal functions of supporting a practice

  • Strong project management capabilities

  • Superior Microsoft Office skills, particularly with PowerPoint and Excel

  • Ability to work effectively and collaborate with all levels in a large, matrixed organization

  • Ability to work well in a virtual team environment

  • Interest in broadening understanding of cross-business services

  • Excellent written and oral communications skills

  • Ability to analyze data and make sound observations and recommendations

  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and comfort interacting with all levels of management
