Deloitte's Workforce Strategy & Solutions (WSS) team collaborates across the Deloitte businesses to shape our future workforce strategy - including the design, development, and implementation of 'future of work' strategies, human centered end-to-end workforce solutions, and strategic workforce planning initiatives. The role
As a Workforce Planning Manager, you will design and execute enterprise-wide strategic workforce planning initiatives. This role will deliver sophisticated analysis, technology and planning tools to evolve the firm's workforce planning capability by blending skills in business strategy, financial acumen, data analysis and consulting. The Workforce Planning Manager is accountable for designing workforce planning templates and tools, supporting business-led workforce planning activities and conducting data analysis to inform future focused planning activities (i.e., Long Term Plan, business annual plans). This role flexes between deep analysis and collaborative consultative approaches to assess gaps and deliver solutions.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record conducting workforce planning analysis and designing workforce planning processes, can consider supply/demand issues from multiple perspectives, can operate autonomously and is extremely proactive in driving results.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Collaborate across Talent, Finance and the Businesses to design and execute workforce planning activities, including supply/demand gap analysis, workforce scenario modeling, workforce allocation, annual planning support, KPI measurement, workforce plan development, etc.
Develop insightful, data-driven solutions and implement scalable workforce planning tools and technology
Analyze business strategies and business-led workforce planning activities to drive consistency and standardization
Effectively gather, analyze, and interpret internal/external data trends and insights to assess talent gaps, forecast needs and model future scenarios to inform leadership decision-making
Define and track workforce metrics aligned with the firmwide people strategy, firm investments, and long-term plan
Develop compelling, logically structured presentations and deliverables to communicate workforce planning strategies to Talent and Business leaders
Manage, coach, and support the success of junior team members via formal and informal reporting relationships
Desired Skills, Experience & Capabilities
Strong strategic thinking skills to identify innovative workforce solutions
Success engaging at senior management levels to impact and influence decision-making
Technical, data and systems experience to support data visualization and workforce planning technology. Must have demonstrated skills using software tools including SAP SuccessFactors, Salesforce, Anaplan. Skilled in the use of Tableau, SQL, R/Python or comparable data analysis tools.
Strong analytical skills and experience interpreting qualitative and quantitative workforce data and synthesizing into meaningful and actionable results
Maintain an understanding of market shifts and talent trends and how they impact our business and workforce needs, and adapt solutions accordingly
Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, and project management skills
Ability to identify technology solutions and tools to solve business problems, drive desired outcomes and present approaches through data driven storytelling
Ability to establish and lead cross-functional teams and working groups
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
6+ years' experience in a Strategic Workforce Planning, Business Strategy, Talent Business Advisor or Business Intelligence role
Demonstrated client service orientation; Strong consultative skills; Experience with large scale change initiatives across complex organizations
Outstanding written, visual and verbal communication and active listening skills, including interpersonal skills and the ability to articulate complex messages in a clear, concise way to a variety of audiences
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic, complex, and ambiguous start-up environment; Calm under pressure and ability to pivot with unexpected challenges
Demonstrated business and financial acumen; ability to understand Deloitte's businesses
Strong PowerPoint skills; Ability to create simple stories around complex topics and appeal to the needs of multiple stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to build strong peer relationships across the Deloitte network

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $100,000 to $200,000.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
