Senior Coordinator, Business Project Management

Position Summary:

The Senior Coordinator provides direct support to the National Managing Partner of Corporate Development and the Corporate Development operations. The US Corporate Development team is responsible for mergers, acquisitions, joint venture-like relationships, divestitures and strategic investments for all Deloitte U.S. Entities. US Corporate Development operates in a fast-paced, unpredictable and deadline-sensitive environment.

The Senior Coordinator plays an integral role in supporting the success of the unit by providing a variety of project, administrative and operational services to both internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will thrive in a team environment, provide excellent customer service, have advanced writing and PowerPoint skills, possess a high degree of self-confidence and executive presence, exercise discretion and diplomacy in all interactions, have the ability to proactively anticipate and manage challenges, be a self-starter with strong abilities to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize appropriately, work efficiently and remain flexible to changes in schedule and work hours (including flexibility to work overtime as required).

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for project coordination

  • Assist teams with recurring projects utilizing internal technology to update/maintain Corporate Development records, prepare reports, and complete trend analysis

  • Prepare reports and review data to recommend course of action as needed to achieve goals

  • Work within a defined work stream to accomplish project tasks

  • Monitor shared mailboxes on a daily basis to manage upcoming and ongoing activities

  • Coordinate and plan meetings and events by handling logistics including securing meeting space, collaborating with team on agenda and content

  • Deliver exceptional project-based support and customer service; adapt methods and behaviors to effectively engage and accommodate Corporate Development styles, preferences, and unique needs

  • Act as a trusted business advisor to help advance, implement, and achieve Corporate Development objectives and desired outcomes; use business and subject matter expertise to provide practical and relevant ideas and insights

  • Produce superior work in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and expectations for quality. Effectively negotiate deadlines when necessary and communicate changes to manage expectations.

  • Have a broad understanding of Deloitte s network of business support services in order to delegate work requests and partner with other national and local teams as appropriate to deliver work effectively

  • Accurately and proactively assess requirements for each project/request. Communicate effectively with requestors and service providers at all times, addressing questions or issues promptly and professionally

  • Develop and share new innovative solutions which can be applied as best practices; demonstrate forward-thinking and creative ideas to enhance the client experience and overall service delivery

  • Plan and coordinate time and working hours to accommodate Corporate Development requests and schedules; demonstrate exceptional judgment to adjust and flex hours, and address requests with a sense of urgency

  • Build positive and productive relationships internally or with external stakeholders

  • Provide strategic Outlook calendar support for the National Managing Partner of Corporate Development, including creating, updating, and rescheduling meeting invitations; keeping the yearly calendar matrix updated monthly; responsible for identifying and resolving scheduling conflicts

  • Conduct research as directed

  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of Deloitte s matrixed organization and brand standards in order to offer superior service and accurate guidance to customers

  • On a regular basis, manage sensitive and confidential information appropriately and with a high level of discretion
