Deloitte Trainee, Deloitte Cyber Career Accelerator Program in New York, New York

Are you ready to learn new technical and analytical skills to launch a career in cybersecurity? The Deloitte Cyber Career Accelerator can help you start your cybersecurity career journey. Program participants who successfully complete the program and meet Deloitte's hiring requirements and needs will be offered a full-time position in Deloitte's Cyber Cloud Practice.

This competitive program is designed for college graduates with little to no cybersecurity experience who are self-motivated to learn new concepts and are interested in a long-term career in cyber. Through this full-time, 12-week, paid training program, you will learn skills essential to cyber, such as: Cloud Security, Network Security, Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), Systems Security, and Cloud Computing (including an overview of key Cloud Service Providers). Qualifications

Required:

  • Interest in a career in cybersecurity

  • Strong desire to learn and work in highly technical areas

  • Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts degree

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

    Preferred:

  • Work experience or experience in a professional environment (e.g., internships, summer positions, school jobs); strongly preferred work experience in IT or technical consulting

  • Familiarization with modern operating systems and common enterprise applications

  • Awareness of common Cloud Service Providers, particularly the Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

  • Strong academic track record (GPA of 3.2 or above)

Post-Program Full-Time Roles

Trainees who successfully complete the program and meet Deloitte's hiring requirements and needs will be offered a full-time position in Deloitte's Cyber Cloud Practice for roles as either a Cloud Solution Delivery Analyst or a Google Cloud Platform Cloud Security Analyst. Program participants will be aligned to potential full-time roles ahead of and during the training program.

Cloud Solution Delivery Analysts with Deloitte's Cyber Cloud practice perform tasks such as:

  • Provide technical security support for cloud-native and third-party security services and resolve service-related issues through research, troubleshooting, and working with cloud service providers and third-party security solution vendors.

  • Support proof-of-concept and production deployments of cloud technologies.

  • Perform technical health checks for cloud platforms/environments prior to broader deployment and assist clients with configuration of cloud platform scanning tools, and delivery of cloud security and compliance reports.

Upon successful completion of the program, program participants aligned to the Business Solution Analyst position and offered full-time roles should be able to work remotely on 24/7 rotating shift work in support of clients, including on-call participation, as required.

Our Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Cloud Security Analysts will perform tasks such as:

  • Assist in conducting cloud security assessments and provide recommendations on required configurations for client cloud platforms (with a particular emphasis on GCP) and environments based on Deloitte's Cloud Cyber Risk Framework.

  • Guide clients on their transition from on-premise security technologies to cloud-native options and assist clients with the deployment of cloud-native and third-party technologies to secure cloud platforms.

  • Provide technical security support for cloud-native and third-party security services and resolve service-related issues through research, troubleshooting, and working with cloud service providers and third-party security solution vendors.

  • Support proof of concept and production deployments of these cloud technologies.

Upon successful completion of the program, program participants aligned to the Cloud Security Analyst position and offered full-time roles should be able to work remotely during normal business hours but be able to travel occasionally for client engagements.

About the Deloitte Cyber Career Accelerator Program

This training program will take place over 12 weeks, September - December 2022. Deloitte will compensate trainees for the duration of the program, which is delivered 100% virtually.* The training will be delivered by Flatiron School, LLC and Deloitte. During the training program, Trainees will have the opportunity to build relationships with their fellow trainees and other Deloitte Cyber professionals.

Trainees are employees of Deloitte and are expected to be available 40-hours a week Monday -Friday during core business hours (9 am - 5 pm) in Central Time. Trainees who successfully complete the program and meet Deloitte's hiring requirements and needs will be offered one of the full-time positions outlined above in Deloitte's Cyber Cloud Practice.

*The cost of the training program is considered a taxable benefit to the program participant and will be subject to for all applicable taxes, but will be "grossed up" (offset and covered) by Deloitte.
