Work you'll do
As a Quality Assurance Engineer - Lead on our team you will be working closely with Tax SMEs, Business Analysts, and application developers to aggregate, prioritize, and report out on impact of the top-quality issues affecting the projects. Additionally, you will:
Collaborates with Tax SMEs, Business Analysts, and application developers to ensure a shared understanding of the business model and the detailed function requirements.
Creates and maintain the Test Plans, Requirements Traceability Matrices, Test Cases, and Test Metrics.
Designs test plans in a manner that supports both manual and automation testing for web-based tax applications.
Executes end-to-end functional and automated tests cases and creates clearly documented defects that enable a developer to recreate the issue.
Assist to Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
Write SQL queries and utilize SQL Server Management Studio for various testing scenarios.
Ensure the quality and low bug rates of code released into production.
Follow QA processes and procedures throughout the testing life cycle.
Responsible for conducting analysis of defects with development team, BA and other stakeholders, replicating issues for analysis and resolution.
Participates in scrum daily status and project status calls to provide accurate updates on deliverable timelines and status.
Support system testing by following up on and closing defect tickets in a timely manner.
Collaborate and mentor junior QA team members in U.S. and U.S.-India.
Analyze feature requirements and assist in identifying requirement enhancements to improve product efficiency.
Assist to Conduct feature demonstrations for stakeholders once testing is concluded.
Perform Production and test environments smoke testing for patch, Production release and deployments
Assist in defining performance testing process as applicable.
Establish and evolve seamless regression test process to include existing features and new features.
Ability to create and execute test scripts using automation tools.
Bachelor's degree in business information systems, computer science, business/technology or similar degree
2+ years' experience in QA Testing with at least 2 years in test automation
knowledge of QA process and testing methodology
Experience with automated testing tools such as TOSCA or Selenium
Ability to analyze testing requirements based on the business requirements
Develop and execute test cases, scripts, plans and procedures (manual and automated).
Assure timely completion of testing for projects as well as comprehensive bug tracking and reporting
Experience with SDLC methodologies
Experience with writing SQL Scripts for testing
Experience with CI/CD tools preferably Azure DevOps.
Experience of Agile methodologies and SCRUM processes.
Ability to travel 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
ISTQB certified software tester certification obtained or in process or must be able/willing to obtain.
Experience working in Financial Services environment.
Experience working in consulting environment.
Ability to understand business problem(s) being addressed by the project.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of an object-oriented programming is a plus - preferably C#
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $77,700 to $170,000.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
