We prioritize creative thinking and take pride in what we do. We re growing our search practice and are seeking an SEO Strategist in our NY or SF office.

What you'll do

The SEO Supervisor will play a key role in helping us continue to deliver on great work for our existing clients as well as helping lead new business pitches for the practice. The SEO Supervisor will be responsible for developing great relationships with their clients and focus on mining for growth opportunities. They ll lead the development of effective strategies for our clients, ensuring we re delivering on client objectives and helping bolster brands digital presence. They ll oversee a team of more junior to mid-level SEO strategists and ensure effective project delivery, including strategic development, execution and reporting. The SEO Supervisor will report into the SEO practice lead and should show composure under pressure, be solution-orientated, and be a collaborative partner to fellow Heaters and clients alike.

The SEO Supervisor should be able to compile and analyze search data and metrics, and present formal recommendations to leaders. They should be able to lead training sessions or instructive meetings with junior to C-suit level clients and colleagues, and should possess a deep understanding of SEO strategies and tools. This is a great opportunity for the SEO Supervisor to get in on the ground floor of our growing team and play a key role in helping shape our practice.

Qualifications

Required:

3-5 years of full-time agency or consulting SEO experience required

Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills

Powerpoint and/or MS Excel skills a must

Strong project management and vendor/supplier/agency management skills

Ability to triage and prioritize many competing needs, monitor and maintain momentum on a number of concurrent projects for numerous internal stakeholders

Deep understanding of web analytics; ability to creative diagnostic or analytical reports along with KPI definition and tracking

In depth experience with SEO tools like DeepCrawl, Screaming Frog, x Brightedge, Conductor, Search Consol, etc.

Extensive knowledge and experience in technical and content-driven SEO

Experience in enterprise sites and large client organizations

Experience supporting site migrations and redesigns

Comfortable interacting regularly with both technical subject matter experts as well as business owners of all organizational levels, presenting complex information in a way that is easy to understand, and tailoring it to different audiences

Ability to offer and defend solutions to business problems based on experience and best practices

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now, or at any time in the future.

Preferred:

Bachelor Degree or Associates Degree preferred

Excited to work in a dynamic, fast-paced agency culture, with the flexibility to change gears for different clients

Experience with major platforms Salesforce, Hybris, AEM, ATG a plus

Experience with web development a plus

SEM experience a plus

Forecasting and performance modeling experience a plus

Experience with VoC and UX testing (e.g., A/B, Optimizely) a plus

Other technological experience with web development a plus:

HTML, CSS especially Adobe Experience Manager (AEM, aka CQ products), JavaScript, ojQuery, oAJAX

Experience with Salesforce and Hybris sites a plus

Experience optimizing for Baidu a plus

Ability to travel up to 30%.
