Sr. Software Engineer

In addition to working daily with our Data Science Team and DevOps Team to deliver production grade software, you'll also work closely with our Project Management Team to understand our clients' needs and any change requests that drive our development efforts. The role will be on the product team, but you will work to develop products to support the efforts of the service delivery team who works with clients.
Work you'll do:
As a Senior Software Engineer,you will take the lead on developing and deploying transformational AI capabilities for large clients. You'll combine leadingopen-sourcetooling and techniques with a suite ofcustomer experience libraries and solutions,whichautomate the management of cross-channel communications with consumers for large clients.This includes integrating multiple terabytes of data across business units in a low latency and auto-scaled environment. Your responsibilities will include:
Lead cross-functional initiatives working with multiple, distributed teams
Design, build and support scalable data pipelines, systems and APIs
Produce high quality code that is robust, efficient, testable and easy to maintain
Deliver operational automation and tooling to minimize repeated manual tasks
Participate in code reviews, give actionable feedback, and mentor junior team members
Influence product and cross-functional teams to identify data opportunities to drive impact
Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
7+ years of software development experience in Python (preferred), Java, or equivalent technologies
2+ years of experience building software on top of major container technology (Kubernetes, docker, or similar).
Skilled at designing and building highly scalable data pipelines
Knowledge and experience of working with large datasets
Proven track record of working with cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.)
Experience with modern software development practices, leveraging CI/CD and containerization
Self-driven with a passion for learning and implementing new technologies
A history of working collaboratively with a cross-functional team of engineers, data scientists and product managers
Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
Ability to travel up to 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with big data frameworks (Spark, etc.)
Knowledge of and interest in data science & machine learning
Experience with data warehouses (Snowflake, etc.)
Knowledge of distributed systems
Experience with monitoring and alerting tooling (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Pager Duty, Loki)
Exposure and/or expertise writing and/or running Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code automation
Experience in performance analysis and optimization of machine learning applications, e.g., in optimizing code written by others
Experience with one or more common workflow/pipelining frameworks (Kubeflow, MLFlow, Argo or equivalents)
