The Senior Strategic Marketing Planner (SMP) serves as a trusted marketing advisor to his/her business leaders and key stakeholders. In this role you will oversee the strategy, planning and execution of best-in-class, integrated marketing campaigns that support a Deloitte business and/or industry program utilizing innovative, go-to-market tools and approaches, and leveraging the full capabilities of Marketing Excellence, to maximize market reach and impact.

Work you'll do

  • Serve as a strategic marketing advisor to key stakeholders within the business and as the business connection point across ME. This includes advising on how best to activate Audit & Assurance marketing campaigns and messaging in strategic marketing locations in East Region.

  • Ensure synergy with Audit & Assurance national campaigns and recommend market specific activities as warranted.

  • Work closely with senior leadership to prioritize marketing activities and investment to achieve maximum impact and achieve A&A growth goals in the region.

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of East Region market dynamics

  • Become an expert in goals and opportunities in support of National Audit & Assurance strategy

  • Understand East Region market landscape for local chapters of National Relationships (e.g. FEI); be knowledgeable about local partnership opportunities, e.g. law firms

  • Understand competitive landscape and marketing activity in local market

  • Understand high priority industries in the local market and partner with Audit & Assurance and Green Dot Industry marketing to maximize local opportunities

  • Share knowledge with National A&A and Green Dot marketing to increase the effectiveness of campaigns

  • Align with the business Chief Marketing Officer (BCMO), Lead SMP, in-house Green Dot Agency (GDA) and stakeholders to initiate and support development of strategic marketing campaigns in support of business priorities

  • Collaborate across ME and other enabling areas in support of campaign activities and tactical management:

  • Advise on/support the development of strategic briefs (business cases) for potential marketing campaigns as well as leadership approval process

  • Define, maintain and drive prioritization of all marketing activities for A&A East Region strategic markets

  • Manage the overall portfolio of campaigns and activities, plan and manage budgets to ensure proper prioritization and utilization of resources in conjunction with the GDA; engage other SMPs to coordinate campaign activities, as appropriate

  • Define metrics and KPIs to assess campaign success, activity and channel levels to inform future strategy and tactics, liaising with the GDA

Qualifications include

  • 12-15 years of experience in B2B professional services marketing, including marketing strategy, messaging and campaigns.

  • Bachelor s degree, ideally with a focus in Marketing or a related business field

  • A strong executive presence

  • Confident presentation skills

  • Familiarity with Audit & Assurance professional services a plus

  • Deep understanding of integrated marketing and communications strategies and how they come together to provide measurable results

  • An innovative mindset that can think strategically with a willingness to execute tactically

  • Strong organizational skills and project management skills with ability to prioritize and manage expectations across multiple, complex projects/priorities with aggressive due dates and quick turn-around times

  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through skills

  • Strong persuasive written and verbal communication skills able to expertly position and tell compelling stories around our offerings and influence both internal and external audiences

  • Ability to work in a matrixed organization with a virtual team; experience in large corporate settings and/or professional services a plus

  • Flexible and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, while possessing a high level of comfort with ambiguity

  • Experience with advanced analytics and using campaign data and sales data to determine priorities and measure effectiveness

  • Travel up to 20% (While 20% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice.)
