What you ll do

Deloitte Services LP, a subsidiary of the Deloitte US Firms, has an opportunity for a Communications Manager supporting Deloitte Consulting LLP. This individual will provide strategic direction, planning, and communication guidance in support of Deloitte Consulting s growth strategy focusing on support for the Core Business Operations and Strategy & Analytics Offering Portfolios.

The successful candidate is a team player, creative thinker, and proactive practitioner who has an operational and executional mindset and can work on both strategic and tactical levels to deliver high-value communications results.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Client management: Manage day-to-day interactions with Industry executive leadership, while forming strategic relationships that help you manage and align communication plans across our matrixed organization.

  • Strategic guidance: Oversee the strategic planning and execution of internal communications by working alongside the Consulting communications team in support of the business objectives of Consulting s Industries.

  • Engagement and content management: Develop innovative, effective, and targeted messages that engage our audiences. Review, edit, and optimize content submitted by other teams for national internal communications channels; continually promote best practices, supporting Consulting s content strategy and brand. Oversee the planning and delivery of regular town hall and all hands meeting webcast

  • Delivery and execution: Provide editorial management for key Industry communications vehicles. Write, edit, schedule, design, and publish internal communications (leadership communications, articles, newsletter, photo galleries, and digital content).

  • Development: Be an active member of the wider Consulting and US Marketing and Communications teams, including applying best practices from other areas, both inside and outside of the organization, and contribution to a culture of continuous innovation and learning.

Deloitte s Communications team provides value to the U.S. Firms by delivering innovative communications strategies and approaches for internal and external audiences. We build and protect our brand, and help our leaders influence positive behaviors, drive change, reinforce successes, and promote a strong sense of community through coordinated, consistent messaging. From concept to execution, we help our leaders reach their audience and achieve a consistent standard of excellence using proven communication methodologies.

Qualifications include

  • Communications professional with 10 years relevant experience.

  • Bachelor s Degree in Communications, Journalism, English or related business field required.

  • Knowledge of communications fundamentals with experience leading and managing projects in a global, highly matrixed organization.

  • Solid understanding of the cloud services and the technology industry.

  • Excellent writing, editing, and copy editing skills and previous writing/editing experience in corporate communications, PR, or journalism fields required.

  • Experience working with and writing for senior executives in corporate communications.

  • Strong project management skills, ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously, work well under pressure, and consistently execute high-quality deliverables and programs.

  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, develop relationships, and interact with all levels of management.

  • Knowledge of social media, intranet engagement, and strategic best practices for communications, reader engagement, and user experience.

  • Expert-level proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Outlook and Word.

  • Experience delivering email communications using Outlook distribution lists.

  • Superior Microsoft Office skills and familiarity with integrating various technologies to support communications efforts

  • 0-25% travel
