Work you'll do
Data Architect/Manager at Deloitte will manage and deliver components of client engagements that design and implement data driven technology-based business solutions for large multi-national organizations. Analyze, manipulate, and manage data to deliver meaningful insights necessary to help companies of all sizes and across multiple industries address regulatory and business challenges. Key responsibilities will include:
Lead architectural discussions and design exercises to build and automate large scale migration of data
Architect, design and oversee the development of the database mapping and migration processes
Define and implement the technology strategy across Analytics, Big Data, and Cloud platforms
Lead innovation by exploring, investigating, recommending, benchmarking, and implementing data centric technologies for the platform design and implementation
Manage teams in the identification of business requirements, functional design, process design (including scenario design, data flow mapping), prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures for implementing data driven solutions and analytics
Performing current state assessment of client analytics and data management capability
Mapping data flows and identifying optimal design, architecture, and governance options as well as potential data quality risks
Querying and analyzing small and large data sets to discover patterns and deliver meaningful insights
Creating, managing, and utilizing structured and unstructured data stores
Formulate planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting strategies
Manage full life cycle data driven solution implementations
Develop statements of work and/or client proposals
Identify business opportunities to increase usability and profitability of information architecture
Lead workshops for client education
Manage resources and budget on client projects
Assist and drive the team by providing oversight

Qualifications
Required:
10+ years of relevant data management and/or cloud analytics (AWS, GCP, Azure) consulting or industry experience (master data, metadata, data architecture, data governance, data quality, data modeling)
6+ years of experience leading and managing data delivery project teams through all phases of the project lifecycle from scoping and planning, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and go live
6+ years of relevant experience in Big Data Technologies that can provide the technical direction towards re-architecting Data Models and Access Platforms
4+ years of experience building large scale systems utilizing Big Data Technologies
4+ years of experience in cloud computing infrastructure (e.g., Amazon Web Services EC2, Elastic MapReduce) and considerations for scalable, distributed systems
Excellent understanding of Big Data Analytics platforms and ETL in the context of Big Data
Experience with administration, configuration management, monitoring, debugging, benchmarking, and performance tuning of Database Engines
Significant experience leading complex data management engagements and team sizes ranging from 5 to 20 resources
Must be able to maintain an Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) in support of business intelligence analytics
Develop and maintain data warehouse objects
Experience working within an Extraction Transform Load (ETL) software
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience
Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
Preferred:
Cloud solution architect certification
Advanced knowledge of networking concepts, object-oriented technology, data warehousing, and relational database engines
Hands on programmer, strong in data structures and programming practices. Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, SSIS, and/or Talend
Experience in design and develop data pipelines
Proven skills as a team member, team lead or project manager on multiple full life cycle implementations
A proven resource in defining systems strategy, developing systems requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures, and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines
Eagerness to mentor junior staff and raise quality of data strategy, design, and implementation across the practice by sharing insights and methods through training, community, etc.
Committed to gaining exposure to multiple industries while further developing your career
Adept at implementing technology-enabled business solutions for clients as part of a high-talent team
Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint)
Familiarity with a variety of analytics tools and programming languages such as, but not limited to:
