Deloitte Cyber Software Asset Management (SAM) / Information Technology Asset Management (ITAM) Senior Consultant in New York, New York

TheSAM / ITAM Senior Consultant will be responsible for working with Deloitte sclients to provide SAM / ITAM program leadership and direction to ensureprocesses, policies, and procedures are in place to meet our client sregulatory, operational, audit and reporting requirements when it comes toasset management (software and/or hardware).

TheSAM / ITAM Senior Consultant brings the most value by understanding andfulfilling the client s needs and delivering practical and innovative solutionsto the client through rigorous analysis and effective workstream management.

Work you ll do

Lead projectworkstreams to help our clients develop and implement leading SAM / ITAMpractices, including designing and transforming existing SAM / ITAM people,process, and technology to become industry leading organizations. Create andupdate reports to senior client management related to client policies andprocedures; project status updates; and process/data flows.

Manage teams todeliver project related goals while helping to train and mentor Deloitteprofessionals to develop industry knowledge and technical skills.

Perform data andprocess analysis to generate key insights related to complex client SAM/ITAMissues within a variety of industries and sizes. Areas of analysis include: Software Vendor Prioritization, VendorSpecific Compliance Positions, Renewal Rationalizations, Asset ManagementGovernance and Controls, ITAM data quality, and Asset Management processes,procedures, and standards. Develop a technical and functional knowledge baseand a point of view related to SAM/ITAM activities and relay your knowledgeeffectively to managers and clients. Sample activities include asset renewals,ticket processing/fulfillment, cost savings initiatives, process efficiencyimplementations, big data analysis, security analysis, pricing activities andengagement reporting.

Activities areprimarily categorized into one of three main categories: assisting clientmanagement to run the day-to-day business, ad-hoc or one-time project basedefforts, or transformational level efforts, designed to change and make thefirst two projects more efficient. Itemsvary widely in complexity and/or duration (weeks to months to years) to achievethe stated objectives.

Create and maintainclient relationships via delivering quality work, understanding and fulfillingthe client s current needs, and providing leading practice insights andthinking to clients.

Show initiativerelated to firm needs and industry trends. Actively work with Deloitte managers to build Deloitte s knowledge baseand qualifications in order to provide excellent services to clients.

Qualifications:

Required:

Strongcommunication skills, including the ability to lead engagements interfacingdirectly with the client and effectively report on activities to the client andteam management

Robustdata analysis abilities with experience in working with complex and/orincomplete datasets

Abilityto prioritize between multiple projects and firm initiatives to deliver themost value to our clients and the firm

Abilityto delegate and review activities to ensure quality of client deliverables

Astrong desire to learn and develop new technical and functional skills relatedto asset management

Aproactive mindset that anticipates roadblocks or opportunities and assists withissue escalations

Preferred/BeneficialSkills:

Understandingof SAM / ITAM tools

Previousunderstanding of software licensing or vendor specific licensing

Priorknowledge of IT Asset Management governance and/or industry practices,including Hardware Asset Management, Software Asset Management, ConfigurationManagement, and/or Cyber Security

Familiaritywith industry specific regulations related to software and/or hardware

Abilityto read, analyze, and interpret contracting language

Abilityto remain responsive to key client stakeholders even in non-ideal circumstances,such as odd hours or during travel
