Role Description: As a Senior UX Designer, you are the voice of the user. In all your interactions — with clients, product team, designers, engineers, and more — you’ll advocate for what users want, need, and expect from the products we create. You’re innovative, quick-thinking, and eager to learn more about what’s happening in the interactive space. Your UX design skills are top-notch, and you have a knack for making the complex clear.
You will be leading the design and experience of a portfolio of products in patient engagement space. You will be working with product management team and will have ample opportunities to interact with C-Suite and Senior Product leadership. This role presents a unique opportunity to touch a patient’s life, while they are navigating their complex treatment, through your effective design.
Work with our clients to understand their business requirements in the broader context of their digital strategy and advocate for the user by developing intuitive interactions and easy-to-use interfaces
Work closely with product managers, design, engineering, and quality assurance to craft and validate long term design strategies
Bring user-centered design (UCD) process methods to digital patient, HCP and patient support experiences from concept to launch
Clearly articulate and defend your design decisions with teams and clients
Identify and execute on the best methods for user research and testing within client constraints
Produce high quality communication artifacts to effectively communicate high-level design strategies and detail behaviors, and confidently interact with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
Collaborate with product development team, engineers, and clients to identify the best experience that meets user, business and technical needs
Provide design leadership to technical teams through on-going design reviews, advice on usability principles and techniques
Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, mockups and prototypes optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces
Effectively incorporate core UX principles, models, techniques, and emerging trends. Monitor and have knowledge of wider industry UX trends and relevant technology trends
Required Experience and Qualifications:
5 years of design experience in a consulting or in-house environment
A strong portfolio that demonstrates your experience, storytelling and design presentation skills
3 years’ experience working in direct collaboration with business leaders, development managers, and cross-functional teams.
Experience in UX research, including planning, designing and facilitating user sessions and client workshops, analyzing findings and articulating results
Experience in UX design, including information architecture, user and screen flows, conceptual and detailed wireframing and prototyping
Experience with modern design tools like Sketch, Axure, Principle, Framer, Omnigraffle and InVision
Up to date knowledge of user-centered design and best practice
Extensive experience with responsive and mobile UX
Understanding of Agile development process.
Experience applying user-centered design (UCD) principles and interaction patterns.
Effective written and verbal communications skills.
A willingness to travel up to 20% (While 20% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice.)
Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
Preferred Skills and Qualification:
Working knowledge of HTML and CSS is a plus
Experience in HealthCare Industry and/or designing user experience for consumer/patient facing web/mobile apps
Experience in managing multiple projects at the same time
A clear passion and enthusiasm for learning and pursuing your expertise, constantly challenging the definition of what makes good user experience
