Our Cloud Engineering team focuses on enabling our client s end to end journey from On-Premise to Cloud, with opportunities in the areas of: Cloud Strategy, Op Model Transformation, Cloud Development, Cloud Integration & APIs, Cloud migration, Cloud Infrastructure & Engineering, and Cloud Managed Services. We help our clients see the transformational capabilities of Cloud as an opportunity for business enablement and competitive advantage.

Cloud Engineering supports our clients as they improve agility and resilience, and identifies opportunities to reduce IT operations spend through automation by enabling Cloud. We accelerate our clients towards a technology-driven future, leveraging vendor solutions and Deloitte-developed software products, tools, and accelerators.

Work you ll do

Our practitioners work collaboratively within integrated, cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive strategies that enable Cloud and Infrastructure transformations. Teamwork is crucial as teams are composed of a diverse group of specialists across multiple disciplines from both within our consulting practice and from our clients, helping drive towards a successful outcome. Our practitioners are expected to own and deliver their respective deliverables while managing different clients and other stakeholders.



  • 8-10 years of experience as a Data Architect - data strategies, data architecture and data analytics.

  • Hands on experience with SQL/NoSQL/Cache/in-memory/HDFS/columnar [Oracle, Sybase, DB2, VoltDB, Cassandra, MongoDB, Neo4j, Cloudera]

  • Hands on experience with cloud DB technologies AWS RDS, Redshift, DynamoDB, ElastiCache, Cosmos, Azure SQL,

  • Hands on experience with implementations of data lake and data warehouses

  • Experience around designing and building production data pipelines from ingestion to consumption, using Java, Python, Scala, Talend, informatica, etc.

  • Hands on experience with integration tools for data orchestration across solutions such as Amazon Elastic MapReduce (EMR), Apache Hive, Apache Pig, Apache Spark, MapReduce, Couchbase, Hadoop, and MongoDB.

  • Experience with building data lineage, semantics and ontologies

  • Experience with implementing data governance program

  • Data Lifecycle management including data retention, archive and purge planning

  • Deep understanding of Micro-services architecture and API connectivity landscape.

  • Experience in building data as a service layer

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience to enable selection criteria for data solutions providers and application suitability assessments including detailed data architecture design for global scale and high availability

  • Experience in assisting Senior leadership team to design technology and process landscape and develop overall data strategy

  • Experience in participating in transformation initiatives for mid to large scale organizations

  • Ability to work with a multi-location team

  • Bachelor s Degree or 4 years equivalent professional experience

  • Willingness to travel 80 100% of the time (Monday Thursday/Friday)


  • Ability to create critical deliverables for client workshops and customer interactive sessions on operating models, data solutions business value, processes, and modernization

  • Excellent articulation, communication and strong inter personal skills

  • Strong aptitude for learning new technologies.

  • Self-initiated individual who consistently delivers high quality results with limited guidance and willingly trains, guides and positively influences others.

  • Effectively communicates to diverse technical and nontechnical audiences, including developers, technical leads, peer architects, delivery owners, business owners, senior leaders, etc.

  • Ability to learn the latest technologies and be self-started in running proof of concepts to determine how they can be applied to solve needs within the organization.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and must be able to manage multiple requests at the same time.
