Work you ll do

As a Deloitte Consulting Benefits Administration & Outsourcing Retirement Manager, you will work with other professionals who focus on assisting clients in defining benefit administration solutions such as insourcing, outsourcing, and SaaS across benefit operations with a focus on retirement programs. The Manager is responsible for managing medium to large sized teams, working in conjunction with other practitioners on the following:

Advise clients regarding the benefits delivery alternatives available in the marketplace, and the associated considerations, in order to meet strategic objectives

Assist clients with business case development to support their recommendation and selection of a retirement delivery model

Perform retirement delivery vendor evaluations using Deloitte Consulting tools and methods and provide client contract negotiation strategy advice and support

Support clients in establishing their vendor management approach based on Deloitte Consulting experience and leading practices

Review and develop benefits administration policies and procedures

Provide clients with retirement administration solution implementation leadership and project management and benefits subject matter support

Perform vendor performance management and operational and compliance reviews

Assist clients with reducing the risk and costs of the delivery of employee retirement programs

Analyzing and benchmarking client s existing services for market competitiveness, strengths, deficiencies and gaps

Develop differentiation strategies and improvement recommendations

Support the creation of detailed client deliverables that support findings and recommendations

Participate in broader projects including performance management, employee benefits, retirement, healthcare, performance optimization, cash/non-cash reward and recognition

Participate in marketing initiatives including providing leadership to proposal teams, developing work and methodology approaches to respond to RFPS, writing proposals and conducting surveys

Research and prepare speeches for internal and external presentation

Contribute to intellectual eminence and the development of firm viewpoints on a variety of total rewards topics

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor s degree

At least 6 years of relevant experience

Demonstrated knowledge in Defined Benefits (DB), Defined Contributions (DC), benefits administration & outsourcing, etc.

Willingness to travel at least 80% (Monday Thursday/Friday)

Preferred:

Advanced degree in related specialization area

External consulting experience with a large organization

Experience managing small to mid-sized teams

Experience mentoring, training and developing junior members of the team; experience in employee performance reviews

Experience leading current/future state road mapping, requirements gathering workshops, running labs, and/or facilitating meetings

Experience leading vendor selection including RFPs, RFIs, scoring and evaluating products and services

Experience in project planning, budget oversight and staffing of project teams including time management

Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment

Experience carrying business development quota for consulting work, ramping up pursuit teams and leading business development pursuits end-to-end

Demonstrated interest in a profession in retirement through professional organizations, coursework, certifications, conference attendance, etc.

Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills

Ability to travel up to 100%

Strong critical thinking and technical skills

Strong attention to detail, time management and follow through

Self-motivated and able to work with little direct supervision

Ability to lead and direct staff

Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
