Work you ll do

As a Senior Manager, you will lead and deliver large, complex client engagements that identify, design, and implement creative business and technology solutions for large companies. You will contribute to the firm's growth and development in a variety of ways including:

Engagement Management:

  • Lead engagement planning and budgeting; mobilize and manage engagement teams; define deliverable structure and content; facilitate buy-in of proposed solutions from top management levels at the client; direct on-time, quality delivery of work products; manage engagement economics; manage engagement risk.

Relationship Management:

  • Participate in Business Development, develop and maintain contact with top decision makers at key clients, organize and lead pursuit teams, participate and lead aspects of the proposal development process, contribute to the development of proposal pricing strategies.

Practice Development & Eminence:

  • Develop practical solutions and methodologies, develop "thoughtware" and "point- of-view" documents, participate in public speaking events, get published in industry periodicals.

People Development:

  • Perform the role of counselor and coach, provide input and guidance into the staffing process, actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities, provide leadership and support for delivery teams and staff in local offices.

The Analytics & Cognitive team leverages the power of data, analytics, robotics, science and cognitive technologies to uncover hidden relationships from vast troves of data, generate insights, and inform decision-making. Together with the Strategy practice, our Strategy & Analytics portfolio helps clients transform their business by architecting organizational intelligence programs and differentiated strategies to win in their chosen markets.

Analytics & Cognitive will work with our clients to:

Implement large-scale data ecosystems including data management, governance and the integration of structured and unstructured data to generate insights leveraging cloud-based platforms

Leverage automation, cognitive and science-based techniques to manage data, predict scenarios and prescribe actions

Drive operational efficiency by maintaining their data ecosystems, sourcing analytics expertise and providing As-a-Service offerings for continuous insights and improvements



  • 10 years of experience working in one of the following sectors: Automobile space including manufacturers, dealers, suppliers, finance companies; Hospitality including cruise lines, hotel, resorts, casinos, gaming, restaurants; or Transportation including airlines, freight, rail, shipping ports, ground transportation. This industry experience is a must.

  • At least 2 years of experience in Natural Language Processing (NLP), Linguistics, Advanced Semantic Design, Visualization

  • Previous experience in implementing IBM Watson, CognitiveScale, AWS ML, GCP ML, Azure ML, Einstein or Holmes.

  • Demonstrated expertise with at least 3 full life cycle analytics engagement across strategy, design and implementation.

  • Must have a minimum of 6 years of experience with:

  • Conducting executive workshops to define vision, mission, guiding principles and services catalogue for senior client stakeholders and executive sponsors, and creating strategy narratives, business cases and strategic roadmaps to invest in technology capabilities in digital and analytics and undertake multi-year transformations with clear business outcomes and financial benefits;

  • Developing enterprise digital strategies to adopt and scale emerging technologies with a systematic portfolio management approach and governance model to evaluate and rationalize new and existing projects requiring execution and re-alignment of key stakeholders to meet strategic needs across business units and functions in Commercial, R&D, IT, HR and Finance;

  • Defining metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) with an overall strategy for business process improvement and managing implementation cycles for metrics harmonization across business and IT stakeholders, design, build, test and deploy technical solutions interactive visualizations, dashboards, and scorecards for enterprise adoption and usage;

  • Managing global project teams to conduct execution cycles waterfall phases and agile sprints to compile lists of technical and functional requirements, manage the project delivery, track and resolve key issues and risks to budget, scope and resources;

  • Coordinating, developing and executing detailed cutover plans with sequence of activities to be performed with target completion dates for cutover to production environment, go-live and activation plans using command center approach to provide transparency to client stakeholders involved for large scale systems implementations and releases in EMR systems, Enterprise Data Warehouses, Data Marts and Cloud Data Stores;

  • Assisting with strategic planning and rationalization of IT application portfolio involving retirement, re-engineering, consolidation for productivity levers in cost reduction, core IT systems modernization, and Post Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) IT integration.

  • Ability to travel 80%

  • Visa-Sponsorship - Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.


  • Bachelor s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), IT, CIS, MIS or a related field. Master s degree is preferred.

  • Strong project management and delivery experience, including project planning, budget oversight and staffing of project teams including time management.

  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.

  • Experience with selling to C-level executives and other business development activities.

  • Previous experience mentoring, training and developing junior members of the team; experience in employee performance reviews.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint). Working knowledge and experience of MS Office applications and training development tools.

  • Located within a commutable distance of a Deloitte office.
