Work you ll do

Seeking Audit Manager or experienced Risk Management professional to join our Technology Risk and Controls teamwithin the Audit & Assurance Products and Solutions (AAPS) group toimplement the Technology Risk and Controls (TRC) requirements for our next-generation audit platform based in the Cloud. Under the guidance of TRC leadership, you will have primary responsibility to drive quality as part of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) based on the TRC milestones, and will be responsible for compliance with the TRC roadmap and integration of other audit tools with the cloud-based audit platform. As TRC Product Manager, you will be a key person responsible for escalating issues to TRC senior managers and leadership, managing relevant stakeholders and owning the centralized software review process over our next-generation audit platform with National Office. You may also deliver various non-application specific general TRC projects. You will also work closely with our Audit Professional Practice Network (PPN), Controls over Audit Tools Leader, Office of Confidentiality & Privacy, ITS, Attest Risk Management, Office of General Counsel, Regulatory, Global Risk & Compliance and other leadership to ensure that development, hosting, deployment and other risk decisions comply with existing firm policies, professional standards, laws and regulations and other internal and external requirements.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing the day-to-day activities and priorities of the TRC requirements and roadmap against established timelines and supporting an agile framework

  • Attending sprint review sessions and evaluating functional business requirements across all areas of the next-generation audit platform, including data retention and use, archival, content curation and publishing, integration with audit innovation applications, legal holds and production requests, and other TRC requirements in coordination with subject matter experts and product owners

  • Assisting the product team with establishing a prudent UAT strategy, formulating UAT approach and reviewing the UAT scripts

  • Reviewing alignment of functional requirements to UAT scripts and strategy and evaluating defects disposition and remediation

  • Preparing Risk Assessment Frameworks (RAF), Confidential Information Management Plans (CIMP) and software quality review packages including coordination with National Office, when needed

  • Escalating risks related to software development to the TRC senior manager and leadership and identifying mitigating business, operational and IT controls

  • Understanding or willing to learn how to operate under a scaled agile framework

  • Creating documentation to be leveraged in negotiations with internal and external stakeholders, such as vendors and quality inspections

Explore Deloitte University, The Leadership Center. at Qualifications Experience requirements:An experienced high-performing audit or risk management professional with extensive experience working on large and medium-size audits performed in accordance with the PCAOB standards or detailed experience in building technology products for an audit stakeholder group.

  • Strong technical or audit knowledge and the ability to apply this knowledge to the design, development, and deployment of applications based on TRC requirements.

  • Very strong knowledge and understanding of, or the ability to learn, the regulatory requirements and professional standards involving the development, documentation, review, retention and archiving of audit evidence, including reproduction thereof for professional, legal or regulatory purposes.

  • Ability to challenge the status quo, and to identify untapped opportunities, alternate approaches, and creative solutions to audit products and solutions.

  • Reasonable familiarity with other audit or other regulatory technology applications. Candidates should have the following traits and skills:
