Work You ll Do

Manage subordinates who will identify and evaluate business and technology risks, internal controls which mitigate risks, and related opportunities for internal control efficiency and effectiveness improvement. Demonstrate a general knowledge of market trends, competitor activities, Deloitte & Touche products and service lines and assist in the selection and tailoring of approaches, methods and tools to support service offering or industry projects. Manage and supervise engagement planning, economics, billing and serve at the highest level for engagement management. Generate innovative ideas and challenge the status quo. Oversee and manage the use of technology-based tools or methodologies to review, design and/or implement products and services. Evaluate, counsel, mentor and provide feedback on performance of others and play substantive role in the training and development of staff. Play substantive/lead role in recruiting, retention and building strong relationship with professionals. Responsible for pursuing business opportunities to cross-sell other services identified by the account teams. Build and nurture positive working relationships with clients with the intention to exceed client expectations. Understand clients' business environment and complex risk management approaches. Proactive leadership of market development and industry driven initiatives. Participate and actively support activities related to regulatory authorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).

  • Six years of experience analyzing market, credit, regulatory, and prime brokerage risk for clients in the financial services industry (FSI).

  • Experience must include six years of:

  • Assisting stakeholders to manage large risk, regulatory, and compliance programs across various geographies and successfully delivering results with geographically dispersed teams of over 25 resources;

  • Managing the full life cycle of an engagement, including resource deployment, financial management, new and existing revenue generation, client relationships, training, and coaching and mentoring teams;

  • Developing quantitative risk models and collaborating with IT teams on functional requirements for implementation;

  • Liaising directly with senior management or C-suite level clients to discuss engagements; and

  • Performing pricing and risk calculations and market risk calculations for various asset classes, including stress, VaR, and PnL backtesting.

  • Experience must include one year of:

  • Providing subject matter expertise in market and regulatory risk, capital analysis and planning for strategic risk framework development, including economic capital calculation framework based on Basel regulation;

  • Designing functional architecture for Fundamental Review of Trading Book (FRTB) to enhance risk applications to support new FRTB based regulations prescribed by the Basel committee; and

  • Designing and implementing portfolio collateral requirement methodologies utilizing Backtester, VaR and Stress, Greeks, principal component analysis, and adverse factor stress loss and assessing liquidation and concentration risk, including risk-based margin policies for OTC cleared interest rate swaps and credit default swaps.

  • Position requires approximately 20% travel.
