Deloitte & Touche LLP seeks a Advisory Senior Consultant in New York, NY. Work You ll DoInterface with internal audit, business, IT, members of executive management, and external regulators to assess, design and implement solutions. Help to identify and evaluate complex business process and technology risks. Assess and evaluate internal controls. Participate in risk assessments, determine project plans, execute projects, assess issues, and work with management to determine remediation plans and track progress. Understand clients' business environment and basic risk management approaches. Demonstrate knowledge of market trends and competitor activities, products, and service lines within the Financial Services Industry. Assist in preparing project plans and weekly status reports. Coach, and mentor junior team members. Employ Bloomberg systems in researching transactions, securities and booking entries. #LI-DNI RequirementsBachelor's (or higher) degree in Business Administration, Management, Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).Eighteen months of experience in financial and operational projects for broker-dealer securities trading and in the financial services industry.Experience must include eighteen months of:Developing procedures and controls over securities trading operations and regulatory reporting under regulatory agencies, SROs, and global regulations including the SEC, FINRA, New York Stock Exchange, Nasdaq, and global regulations such as MiFID II;Assessing, analyzing, and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of governance, financial and operational control processes, and offering recommendations to clients to improve operations;Drafting proposals, contracts, and publications including the implementation of the SEC Rule 613 of the Consolidated Audit Trail;Developing and assessing funding models to recover the cost of building and operating the CAT;Drafting client deliverables and presentations including supporting materials for SROs for presentation to the SEC and SRO leadership; andUtilizing MS Project, Word, Visio, Quickbooks, and Excel.Position requires approximately 80% travel.
