Work You ll Do
Provide strategic analysis of structured and unstructured electronic data for purposes of deep data analysis and mining. Perform analysis of accounting, finance, economic issues in the context of business transactions; provide recommendations where applicable. Use data, statistical and quantitative analysis, rules-based methods, and explanatory and predictive modeling to bring insights to client issues in the forensic and transaction domains. Validating testing models by reviewing quantitative test results on scenarios and statistical models and reviewing qualitative model limitations/risk documents. Prepare and review draft reports of findings including the preparation of tables, exhibits and charts. Help identify, deter, and prevent fraud schemes and scenarios. Perform risk assessment, risk ranking, automated control design, control GAP analysis, manual control design, and RCM documentation. Compile and analyze facts to formulate, substantiate and/or critique various damages theories, claims or conclusions. Understand clients business environment and basic risk management approaches. Provide assistance to clients with designing the scope of work for various engagements. Assist with the preparation of proposals, participation in marketing initiatives. Assist in the coaching, mentoring, and counseling of staff. Assist in daily aspects of client engagements, including scheduling and conducting client interviews and documenting, coordinating, presenting client deliverables, and maintaining weekly status reports and issue resolution trackers on a sustained basis.
Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Business Analytics, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).
Eighteen months of experience providing solutions for large financial institutions on risk, compliance, and regulatory issues.
Experience must include eighteen months of:
Utilizing multiple database management systems, including Microsoft SQL Server and Teradata SQL, to assess database performance and perform query optimization;
Validating stress testing models, testing scenarios, and logistic regressions using modeling tools, including Visual Basic, SAS, Python, and R;
Creating customized data extracts and reports using Microsoft s SQL Reporting Server and Microsoft Office Suite;
Developing customized visualization dashboards, graphs, and visual analyses using Tableau and Spotfire;
Utilizing Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services to develop and implement ETL data transfers to process unstructured and complex data into standardized format according to evolving standards;
Performing data profiling and cleansing to assess and improve data quality for system load using various data sources, including flat data sources, Microsoft Office Suite, Visual Studio, and SQL databases;
Mentoring and coaching junior team members, and providing guidance and feedback as part of quality control and development cycles; and
Assisting with the preparation of project plans, budgets, and timelines for implementation.
Position requires 80% travel.
