Deloitte & Touche LLP seeks a Advisory Senior Consultant in New York, NY.

Work You’ll Do

Develop control frameworks encompassing regulatory requirements, including privacy and Sarbanes Oxley, and application security designs; interface with internal audit, business, IT, and members of executive management to design and implement solutions; audit SAS-70 controls and manage clients and engagement management’s expectations; help to identify and evaluate complex business process and technology risks; evaluate and implement internal controls that mitigate risks; participate in risk assessments, determine internal audit plans, execute internal audit programs, assess issues, and work with management to determine remediation plans and track progress; understand clients business environment and basic risk management approaches; demonstrate knowledge of market trends and competitor activities, products, and service lines; assist in preparing project plans and weekly status reports. Will commute within the New York, NY area to consult with clients concerning the above job duties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).

  • Eighteen months of experience in identifying and evaluating complex business and technology risks in the Financial Services Industry (FSI).

  • Experience must include eighteen months of:

  • Developing test methodologies and performing testing under office of the Controller of Currency (OCC) consent order;

  • Designing business requirements and technical requirements;

  • Designing and conducting analyses leveraging quantitative techniques and statistical methods to quantify the impact of policy and/or market changes within the FSI on clients businesses utilizing Excel and Tableau;

  • Integrating business needs and technological solutions, including gathering business requirements, testing, training, and defining support procedures and implementation;

  • Developing an enterprise data governance and data quality strategy supported by operating model, and detailing operational and technology implementation roadmap;

  • Developing workflows and project coordination to issue tracking and resolution;

  • Performing data mapping and migration; and

  • Mentoring and coaching junior team members.

  • Less than 10% travel outside of normal commuting distance.
