Work You ll Do

Compile and analyze data. Model cash flows for securitized transactions containing wide variety of underlying asset classes. Understand clients' business environment and basic risk management approaches. Demonstrate general knowledge of market trends and competitor activities, products, and service lines. Participate in decision making with engagement management and seek to understand broader impact of current decisions. Build and nurture strong client relationships. Apply technical accounting standards, financial reporting, valuation techniques and methodologies for derivatives, quantitative risk assessment and forecasting models, structured finance transactions, cash flow modeling, data integrity, data modeling, statistical sampling, capital markets transaction support and due diligence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).

  • Eighteen months of finance transformation experience, including full Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) lifecycle.

  • Experience must include eighteen months of:

  • Researching, tracking and processing corporate actions, including stock splits, spinoff, dividends, mergers & acquisitions, interest payments, delisting, pending listing, and calculating the adjusted market value of securities/portfolio;

  • Reviewing financial statements for compliance with accounting standards under GAAP or IFRS;

  • Advising clients in finance transformation activities across all stages of the M&A life cycle, including support of pre-deal due diligence, carve-out readiness, pre-merger (day 1) and post-merger integration, and synergy identification and realization;

  • Applying general finance optimization strategies and finance organization governance to support finance transformations, including M&A activities;

  • Preparing transaction financial reporting, including carve-out financial statements, opening balance sheet, purchase price accounting, IPO filing to ensure proper reporting compliance, and analyzing target financial position changes;

  • Performing due diligence through analysis of key financials to conduct EBITDA normalization and adjust net working capital and net debt;

  • Performing financial modeling to support business valuations under ASC 805, ASC 350, and ASC 820, including Income Approach (Excess Earnings method and Relief from Royalty method) and Market Approach;

  • Utilizing Microsoft Excel, including macros, Vlookups, pivot tables and VBA;

  • Coordinating data review in Excel and CAS; and

  • Interfacing directly with client contacts to communicate issues and results.

  • Position requires approximately 80% travel.
