Work You ll Do
Demonstrate a general knowledge of market trends, competitor activities, Deloitte & Touche products and service lines and assist in the selection and tailoring of approaches, methods and tools to support service offering or industry projects. Generate innovative ideas and challenge the status quo. Evaluate, counsel, mentor and provide feedback on performance of others and play substantive role in the training and development of staff. Play substantive/lead role in recruiting, retention and building strong relationship with professionals. Build and nurture positive working relationships with clients with the intention to exceed client expectations. Identify and evaluate business and technology risks, internal controls which mitigate risks, and related opportunities for internal control improvement. Assess and implement compliance, regulatory and risk management programs, training, and monitoring/reporting. Actively participate in decision making with engagement management and seek to understand the broader impact of current decisions. Facilitate use of technology-based tools or methodologies to review, design and/or implement products and services. Play substantive/lead role in engagement planning, economics, and billing. Identify opportunities to cross-sell other services. Participate in proposal development efforts. Participate in "add-on" sales to client. Play substantive/lead role in developing a strong relationship with internal resources.
Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).
Five years of banking and securities risk advisory experience.
Experience must include five years of:
Providing advice, guidance, and assistance on entity s compliance with regulations issued by Federal Reserve Board (FRB), Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), andCommodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC);
Banking and securities industry experience, including experience with banking and financial products, consumer banking, and derivatives;
Performing data analytics and summarizing large amounts of data to identify issues, remediation, and aid the decision-making processes;
Performing analysis of bank regulatory requirements, including recovery and resolution planning, Dodd-Frank Title VII, and Regulation Z;
Reviewing new banking regulations and their implications for the banking industry, including designing business requirements and reporting processes;
Developing financial market utilities (FMU) continuity substantiation playbooks for large US banks to ensure continuity of access to payments, clearing, and settlement systems in a resolution scenario;
Developing recovery and resolution governance playbooks for the boards of banking, broker-dealer, and operating subsidiaries of large US banks;
Assessing current state processes, policies and procedures, and developing target state recommendations for regulatory compliance and remediation efforts related to Dodd-Frank Title VII and EMIR regulations for over-the-counter derivatives; and
Overseeing engagement workstreams with global team members, developing client deliverables, communicating results or observations to senior-level client contacts, and mentoring and coaching junior members of the engagement team.
Position requires approximately 80% travel.
