Deloitte Disaster Recovery Grants Management and Closeout Analyst in New Orleans, Louisiana

This role will have responsibility for facilitatinggrant compliance monitoring services for grant administration activities related to federally funded disaster grant programs. Individuals will provide subject-matter knowledge in a wide range of duties directly related to crisis recovery and disaster recovery grants administration.
Work you ll do
As a Project Delivery Analyst in the Strategic Risk group you will:
Support Implementation and Operations Management best practices
Perform analysis and diagnosis of client issues
Demonstrate a foundational understanding of the client environment and overall project scope
Identify and solve problems using analysis, experience, and judgment
Independently perform tasks with some guidance to execute a portion of the project scope
Individuals will provide subject-matter expertise in a wide range of duties directly related to grant management and closeout activities of the Stafford Act programs specifically Public Assistance and 406 Mitigation.
Review supporting documentation for the grants to ensure that each sub-recipient receives appropriate reimbursement for approved, federally funded programs.
Provides guidance, oversight, and general assistance to sub recipients of grant funds in preparing documentation, invoices, and information to request reimbursement for approved, federally funded programs.
Assist with reconciliation, accounting and organizing supporting documentation for the assigned grants to ensure that each sub recipient will have an audit quality file.
Monitors the progress of each assigned sub recipient or project to ensure that all federal and state grant requirements are met and that files are closed in a timely manner.

Typically has 1 or more years of consulting and/or industry experience
Ability to work independently under general guidance
Experience working in teams and in a team environment that is process-oriented and deadline-driven
Professional oral and written communication skills
Relevant software or application skills to complete job successfully
Problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
Ability to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role
A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or similar fields; OR 1 years of experience with the proven ability to perform the above stated duties
1 years experience working with a state and/or federal grant program
Knowledgeable in technical aspects of FEMA's Public Assistance Program
1 years experience reviewing supporting documentation for grants to ensure that each sub-recipient receives appropriate reimbursement
1 years experience reconciling, accounting, and organizing supporting documentation of grant funds to prepare an audit quality file
Familiarity with applicable laws, rules and regulations (44 CFR and 2CFR) to ensure compliance of assigned sub-recipients and grant files
Ability to provide guidance, oversight, and general assistance to sub-recipients of grant funds in preparing documentation, invoices, and information to request reimbursement for approved programs.
Proficient in the use of MS Excel including but not limited to creating formulas, pivot tables, and reconciliation files
Ability to obtain & maintain therequired security clearance
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Prior professional services or federal consulting experience
Bachelor s Degree preferred, but not required
At least 1 year experience as a closeout specialist or disaster recovery specialist in the area of public assistance
Demonstrated proficiency of applicable Federal and State statutes, regulations, policies and procedures related to grant management
