Deloitte's Workforce Strategies & Solutions (WSS) team collaborates across the Deloitte businesses to shape our future workforce strategy - including the design, development, and implementation of 'future of work' strategies, human centered end-to-end workforce solutions, and strategic workforce planning initiatives. The team tackles the firm's most critical workforce strategy opportunities today through the design of innovative strategies and solutions that will propel us into the future of work tomorrow.
As the Workforce Planning Leader, you will assume a leadership role in the design and execution of an enterprise-wide strategic workforce planning center of excellence. This role will bring sophisticated analysis, technology and planning tools to evolve the firm's workforce planning capability. Blending skills in Talent strategy, planning and consulting this role will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders to inform strategic workforce planning. The Workforce Planning Leader will also lead projects from conception to implementation and will be responsible for delivering insightful, data-driven and actionable workforce solutions.
The ideal candidate has deep business advisor and/or strategy experience and is a strategic thinker who can connect the dots across a broad landscape, align insights to strategic goals, and anticipate the needs and concerns of senior leaders. Key to this role is an ability to consider issues from multiple perspectives, apply critical thinking and take the initiative to drive results.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Serve as a trusted strategy advisor and subject-matter expert for firmwide workforce planning activities
Provide thought-leadership in partnership with Talent, Finance, Operations, and Business Leaders to identify and implement scalable workforce planning processes, tools and technology enablers
Design solutions with talent and business stakeholders to achieve strategic workforce goals
Collaborate with businesses to identify current and future skills/capabilities needs and create strategies to address gaps
Collaborate with stakeholders on Strategy and Finance teams to define and track workforce metrics aligned with both the firmwide workforce strategy and long-term plan.
Create and manage key stakeholder relationships, influencing and aligning disparate teams and efforts around shared vision and strategy
Gather and analyze internal and external data trends, skills and insights to assess talent gaps, forecast needs, and model future scenarios to identify and prioritize risks and opportunities
Develop compelling, logically structured presentations and deliverables to communicate workforce planning strategies to Talent and business leaders
Manage, coach, and support the success of junior team members via both formal and informal reporting relationships
Desired Skills, Experience & Capabilities
Strong strategic workforce advisor background with experience operating in a complex organization
Success engaging at senior management levels to impact and influence decision-making
Deep understanding of strategy development, design, and implementation of cross-functional initiatives
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret qualitative and quantitative workforce data and synthesize into meaningful and actionable results
Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, and project management skills
Ability to identify technology solutions and tools to solve business problems, drive desired outcomes and present approaches through data driven storytelling
Experience developing and leading cross-functional teams
10+ years' experience in Talent Strategy, People Analytics, senior HRBP role, Business Intelligence OR in-depth knowledge and experience with the Deloitte Talent channel in strategic roles; Specialized knowledge and skills in workforce/talent strategy
Excellent communication and active listening skills, including the ability to articulate complex messages in a clear, concise way to a variety of audiences
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic, complex, and ambiguous start-up environment; Agile mindset and ability to pivot and respond to unexpected project turns
