Strategic Marketing Leader for Oil, Gas & Chemicals

This position is responsible for providing strategic marketing and communications leadership and execution for Deloitte s Oil, Gas & Chemicals (OG&C) sector.
The Strategic Marketing Planner (SMP) for OG&C will drive the development of the strategy, planning and execution for integrated marketing programs and campaigns that support growth and positioning strategies. The ideal candidate will be a marketing professional, experienced in B2B and professional-services marketing, with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels of a matrixed organization. The candidate will also have a deep understanding of integrated marketing and communications, including channel marketing, campaign development, account-based marketing, marketing strategy, alliance building and sales enablement. We seek an individual who is innovative in their thinking and is willing to challenge the status quo.
What you ll do:
As a SMP in Deloitte Services LP, a subsidiary of the Deloitte US Firms, you will contribute to the growth and development of our organization in a variety of ways, including:
In conjunction with the Industry Marketing Leader (IML), develops, maintains, and drives prioritization of all marketing activities for OG&C with a focus on collaboration with sector, global, and functional marketing colleagues
Works with IML and stakeholders to initiate and support development of strategic marketing campaigns in support of OG&C priorities
Drives annual planning process, including discussions with leadership around priorities
Works closely with internal agency to manage overall portfolio of campaigns and activities to ensure proper prioritization and utilization of appropriate resources
Brings innovative thinking and marketing practices to all marketing activities
Plans and manages marketing budget for all campaigns
Manages operational activities, including overall calendar, reporting and presentations
Collaborates with PR team to drive media coverage when applicable
Collaborates with Research and Insights team to develop thought leadership content that aligns with business priorities
Liaises with Internal Communications around initiation and development of priorities
Manages and mentors the development of junior team members
Skills and Competencies:
Ability to grasp a deep understanding of OG&C business strategies, with a focus on core business issues
Ability to manage multiple and complex projects concurrently
Ability to make connections in highly matrixed environment, with an eye on integration
Executive presence, professional client service manner, demonstrated ability to take initiative
Strong persuasive communication skills; able to gain consensus through influence and pivot when warranted
Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills; flexibility and adaptability
Ability to work in a virtual environment with team members across multiple offices and time zones
Strategic and innovative thinker
15 years of experience in marketing, with a focus on B2B marketing and communications strategy and planning
Deep understanding of integrated marketing and communications strategies and how they come together to provide measurable results
Proven experience developing and executing on strategic marketing plans
Strong persuasive communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to gain consensus through influence
Superior Microsoft Office skills (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); familiarity with integrating various technologies to support marketing efforts
Undergraduate degree, ideally with a focus in Marketing
- Master s Degree, MBA preferable
