Work you ll do

As a Consultant within our team you will:

  • Identify opportunities for efficiencies in work process and innovative approaches to completing scope of work

  • Participate in team problem solving efforts and offer ideas to solve client issues

  • Conduct relevant research, data analysis, and create reports

  • Maintain responsibility for completion and accuracy of work products

  • Assist in proposal development, as requested

  • Actively expand consulting skills and professional development through training courses, mentoring, and daily interaction with clients

Position description: Analyst/Consultant to support Human Capital/Actuarial & Benefits projects for government/public services organizations

Location: Washington DC area, Minneapolis, Nashville, Chicago

  • 1 years of relevant industry and consulting experience

  • Experience with identifying and validating underlying pension plan data elements required to calculate benefits in compliance with plan document

  • Experience interpreting pension plan provisions and familiarity with performing all types of pension plan calculations

  • Ability to support consultations on pension plan administration leading practices, including process and operational efficiencies

  • Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Position Requirements:

  • 1 years of relevant industry and consulting experience

  • Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to perform pension plan data analysis and identify trends in large data sets

  • Ability to apply data analysis results to development of solutions and recommendations

  • Strong critical thinking skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and work collaboratively

  • Strong attention to detail, time management and follow through

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint

  • Candidate must be eligible to obtain a US security clearance.

Preferred Experience/Qualifications for this position include the following:

  • Experience working on multiemployer pension plan data and/or familiarity with multiemployer pension plans

  • Interest in obtaining and/or pursuing actuarial credentials such as ASA, EA, or FSA
