Ourteams include clinicians and professionals who have experience leadinghospitals and health care systems (for profit, not for profit and academichealth centers) in realizing significant savings while transforming the waypatient care is delivered. They also include professionals with shared serviceexperience, clinical informatics experience and care management experiencewhich not only includes acute care but post-acute care, ambulatory and healthplan. We incorporate leading practicemethodologies, tools, technologies and training that helps make operational changesustainable.
Workyou ll do
Senior Consultants perform detailed,quantitative and qualitative analyses associated with developing meaningfulinsights to address health care providers biggest challenges. These challengesencompass everything from helping providers increase revenues, decrease costs,accelerate cash flow, improve clinical outcomes and operational workflowefficiencies by addressing people, processes, and technology across everyaspect of the project lifecycle. Responsibilities typical of a SeniorConsultant on one of these projects could include:
Participatein setting engagement objectives and scope
Developwork plans for components of an engagement
Coordinateactivities across work streams
Provideguidance to junior practitioners as they manage large, confidential and complexdata sets
Facilitateclient interviews and client meetings
Developprocess flows identifying pain points in the business process
Conductdetailed analyses to draw conclusions, and develop pertinent and insightfulrecommendations
Designdeliverables to reflect analyses conducted and recommendations
Presentfindings and recommendations to client leadership
Anticipate risksassociated with timely and high-quality delivery of project and escalate thesame to project management and leadership

Bachelor s degree from accredited university with strong undergraduate academic record
4 years of professional experience in a health care provider or consulting setting (or 2 years with MBA/MHA/equivalent master s degree), including 2 years in provider operations
Demonstrates consistent career progression with increasing levels of responsibility
Competent in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Willingness and ability to travel 80%
Must live within commuting distance to one of Deloitte s consulting offices
Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
Clinical Informatics experience
Care Management which includes acute care, ambulatory and health plan experience
Professional experience with operational process mapping
Professional experience with healthcare cost reduction planning and implementation
Experience with healthcare organization M&A, physician alignment, or financial margin improvement initiatives
Excellent undergraduate academic record (GPA 3.5 )
Advanced degree in business or health care-related field (e.g., MHA, MBA) from a top tier program or clinical manager informatics program
2 years of management consulting experience in a health care related field
Professional competence in Microsoft PowerPoint, Visio, and Access
Superior critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
Exceptional interpersonal, team-building and communication skills
Ability to build consensus and foster change in a client business setting with executive level stakeholders
Commitment to personal and professional growth
Sense of responsibility to self, team and client
Outstanding integrity, initiative, creativity, and passion
