Deloitte Fraud Specialist Team- Data Analytics - Senior Manager in Nashville, Tennessee

Deloitte & Touche LLP's Fraud Specialist Team is seeking a high-performing Senior Manager to join our team working with some of the largest and most complex audit engagements in Deloitte's client portfolio. Not only will you have the opportunity to work with challenging, high-profile clients and engagement teams but you will apply your expertise in analytics to enhance the quality of our audits.

Work You'll Do

As a Senior Manager - Data Analytics Fraud Specialist , you will be responsible for leading teams in developing data insights with a focus on fraud detection analytics. You will be working closely with data scientists and audit teams to apply leading-edge analytic techniques that drive audit quality and objectives. You will also be working closely with senior leadership to build and develop analytics procedures and protocols that will be employed by teams across the Audit practice. You'll use your analytical and leadership skills to:

  • Help develop analytics that are tailored to address specific fraud-related risks for key clients and highlight transactions that may be of interest to audit teams

  • Develop a team of data scientists and help drive initiatives to infuse leading-edge analytics into the audit cycle

  • Advise audit teams on more effective ways to better spot patterns and trends that may point to possible fraud concerns

  • Oversee junior staff and ensure the work performed is in accordance with quality standards of the organization

  • Present technical solutions to leadership, clients, and team members

QualificationsRequired:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, data science, analytics, statistics, applied mathematics or related discipline

  • Experience in public accounting / prior experience delivering financial statement audits and/or fraud investigations

  • 10+ years of overall experience, with a specific focus of developing and applying data analytics to uncover patterns indicative of fraud risk

  • 7+ years of hands-on coding experience using at least one of the following programming languages: SQL, SAS, and/or Python

  • 7+ years of experience in relational databases, data frames, performing data transformations and data modelling

  • Experience in leading teams using Agile methodologies

  • Excellent business communication skills (verbal and written in English) to articulate problems, make decisions and to independently engage with business stakeholders and direct teams throughout various phases of the project

  • Ability to take responsibility and drive high quality execution of fraud specialist efforts, as well as internal firm initiatives

  • Ability to develop and oversee a team of analytics staff required to support Fraud Specialist initiatives

  • Ability to travel up to 30%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado or Nevada, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and the State of Nevada and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $121,000 to $287,000.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
