Risk and Financial Advisory Overview:

Our Risk and Financial Advisory group is comprised of more than 10,000 partners, managers and staff. We help solve our clients most complex financial instrument and physical market challenges by delivering risk advisory, technical accounting, quantitative, technology and operational advisory services. Specifically, our consulting projects include risk assessment and solution implementation for business strategies and policies, business processes, organization structure, risk modeling, management reporting and treasury, trading and risk systems. We help clients obtain, analyze and report information from multiple sources and across risk classes to facilitate tactical and strategic decision making.

Work You ll Do

As a Senior UX Designer , you will be creating design prototypes from beginning discovery to development handoff. You will see your designs come to life, impacting the day to day quality of life of the users both in the office as well as those around the world! You will meet with business, understand the users, brainstorm and challenge the process knowing what can make the life of our users better. You will have the opportunity to craft journey maps, build a story and even influence the design of the entire platform. Thinking outside the box and proposing novel ideas is highly encouraged on highly collaborative teams. The ideal candidate has a passion for UX and is driven by empathy, wanting to ease frustrations and make work more enjoyable.

Responsibilities

  • Take a lead role in UX projects from concept to delivery

  • Make interfaces that have a clean appearance while maximizing user efficiency

  • Design low & high-fidelity wireframes, clickable prototypes, information architecture, user journey maps and other design documents

  • Work closely with front end developers to ensure designs are technically feasible, potentially proposing phases that could be rolled out as timelines allow

  • Think creatively outside the box and propose solutions that solve the problem but also promote efficiency

  • Be a devil s advocate for a product owner to ensure no stone is left unturned

  • Take vague requirements or use cases and challenge thoughtful questions to the business to clarify and fine-tune product need

  • Participate in discovery sessions, understanding pain points and coming up with novel solutions

  • Keep up to date on current design trends that keep our UI s fresh but also practical

  • Participate in product aligned Scrum sessions, providing UX expertise and advice as needed

  • Facilitate brainstorming white-board sessions where rough designs can be sketched to drive decision making

  • Maintain and contribute to platform style guides and pattern library

  • Coaching and mentoring of new team members

  • Ability to give constructive feedback to all key players in design process and also embrace feedback with open mind for improvement

Requirements

  • 5 years of hands-on experience with wireframing, information architecture, visual design, mobile interfaces

  • An outstanding portfolio that demonstrates your approach to projects, demonstrating quality, attention to detail, storytelling, and an ability to bring your ideas to life

  • Ability to work well with product owners, business analysts, business subject matter experts, front end developers, offshore creative teams, users and testers.

  • Highly proficient in our design toolset including, Sketch, Balsamiq, Invision and Zeplin

  • Strong communication skills, including ability to communicate with remote global teams

  • Strong verbal and written English communication

  • Solid foundation in design principles, best practices, and a passion for designing meaningful digital experiences

  • Strong sense of ownership and responsibility for deliverables

  • Highly diligent, comfortable with ambiguity and solving complex problems, and flexible with willingness to stretch comfort zones to meet product, team, and competency goals

  • Passion for UX and deep empathy for users of all technical backgrounds

  • Understanding of mobile design principles and best practices

  • Graphic design experience, specifically including icon design and lightweight image editing
