Senior Manager - Supply Chain Networks/Life Sciences

The expanding and transforming Life Sciences industry is putting new pressure on companies manufacturing and supply chain organizations to simultaneously improve the quality of products, increase the speed of delivery, and lower costs.

Deloitte s Life Sciences Supply Chain Network Operations services can help clients meet the goal of delivering quality products to their customers within business constraints.

Work you ll do

Senior Managers lead project work streams or components of large, complex engagementsthat identify, design, and implement creative business and technology solutions for large Life Sciences companies. SeniorManagers develop the detailed, quantitative analysis work associated with developing meaningful insights to address Life Sciences clients biggest challenges.

Senior Managers participate in setting engagement objectives and scope; develop work plans for components of engagements, coordinate activities between work streams and identify changes in scope. Senior Managers also design deliverable content to precisely reflect the engagement contract and client needs and strive to improve deliverable quality through verification and validation of results. Senior Managers also participate in the development and presentation of proposals for business development activities.

We drive efficiency, improve flexibility, and increase responsiveness through proactive insights and decision-making. We advise, implement, and operate transformational solutions that bring world-class supply network and operational capabilities to our clients. We provide operational know-how, digital technologies, advanced analytics, and industry-specific hybrid solutions to deliver unprecedented client value. Additionally, we improve operations, product, and material flow across the breadth of the value chain and create greater supply network synergy and value through M&A events.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor s degree from accredited university with strong undergraduate academic record

  • 15 years of professional experience in Life Sciences industry, a few years functioning as a Senior Manager in a Consulting environment.

  • Demonstrates consistent career progression with increasing levels of responsibility; performed above expectations in professional roles

  • Ability to work independently; lead teams focused on specific work streams of large projects.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, presentation skills and MS Visio, PowerPoint, Excel and PowerPoint proficiency

  • Willingness and ability to travel 80%

Current knowledge of some or most of:

  • Corporate biopharma operations, manufacturing, quality or operations strategy

  • Manufacturing Site leader (for 1 or more sites), Manufacturing Plant Network Leader, GMP manufacturing experience across one or more these areas - Fill Finish / Sterile Injectables, Biologics Upstream & Downstream Manufacturing, API manufacturing and Oral Solid Dosage manufacturing

  • Network strategy and performance leader in operations and capacity strategy, capex investment strategy, plant floor transformation experience

  • Lean and Operational Excellence experience

  • 20 years of GMP Manufacturing consulting experience

  • Site Quality Operations leader (for 1 or more sites), Quality Systems Leader, GMP quality experience across one or more of these areas Fill Finish/Sterile Injectables, Biologics Upstream & Downstream Manufacturing, API manufacturing and Oral Solid Dosage Manufacturing

  • 20 years of GMP Quality Operations and Systems consulting experience

Preferred Skills:

  • Advanced degree in business (e.g., MBA) from a top tier program

  • Superior critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Exceptional interpersonal, team-building and communication skills

  • Ability to lead small teams and own deliverables

  • Outstanding integrity, initiative, creativity, and passion

  • Ability to work in an ambiguous environment

  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.

  • Live within commuting distance to one of Deloitte s consulting offices
