Work you'll do
As a Deloitte Consulting Retirement & Wealth Consulting Senior Manager, you will help retirement provider institutions gain competitive advantages and differentiate themselves in the areas of business strategy, digital modernization, customer experience, product development, and operating model transformation. You will provide leadership and project oversight to teams focused on the following:
• Use retirement market trends, industry, and regulatory knowledge to analyze and benchmark client's products and services for market competitiveness, develop competitive differentiation strategies, and guide new offerings to market
Lead project teams through a variety of client initiatives including but not limited to: provide Robotic and Cognitive Automation solutions, define and implement end-to-end business transformation initiatives, develop digital and predictive analytic capabilities, and help clients understand their costs to better define their product offer, segmentation, and alignment to pricing strategy
Using industry expertise, educate clients on marketplace trends, conduct market research studies, develop white papers, and grow eminence in the retirement provider domain
Lead the creation of detailed client deliverables that support findings and recommendations
Contribute to practice development including culture building, internal community involvement, eminence, recruiting, whitepapers, etc.
Guide business development efforts, including Statements of Work (SOW), proposal development, client presentations, etc.
Act in a mentoring capacity to support the career development of retirement provider colleagues

Our teams leverage behavioral analytics strategic communications strategies and insights to drive change through our diagnostics and platforms. We help our clients rethink and change their organizations' cultures, modernize business functions, redesign their organization structures, develop high-performing teams, transition to the cloud and digitize their applications and core functions
Minimum eight (8) years of experience in a consulting or industry role with experience leading teams in project-based work for retirement provider institutions, with at least two (2) years relevant experience in an external consulting role
Minimum four (4) years of experience leading multiple project teams on relevant engagements
Minimum one (1) year experience with business development in support of related specialty areas, including carrying a business development quota for consulting work, ramping up pursuit teams and leading business development pursuits' end-to-end
Experience leading current & future state road mapping, requirements gathering workshops, and/or meeting facilitation
Experience leading vendor selection including RFPs, RFIs, scoring and evaluating products and services
Completed Bachelors' degree
Ability to travel up to 50% (While up to 50% travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice)
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
Demonstrated knowledge of the retirement provider industry, financial service products and services, and retirement market trends developed through professional experiences
Experience mentoring, training, and developing junior members of the team; experience in employee performance reviews
Experience in project planning, budget oversight and staffing of project teams
Advanced degree in related specialization area
Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel)
