Work you'll do

A Senior Manager at Deloitte is expected tocontribute to the firm's growth and development in a variety of ways,including:

Engagement Management: Lead engagement planning andbudgeting; mobilize and manage engagement teams; define deliverable structureand content; facilitate buy-in of proposed solutions from top management levelsat the client; direct on-time, quality delivery of work products; manageengagement economics; manage engagement risk

Client Management: Manage day to day interactionswith executive clients and sponsors

Business Development: Develop and maintain contact withtop decision makers at key clients; organize and lead pursuit teams;participate and lead aspects of the proposal development process; contribute tothe development of proposal pricing strategies

Practice Development & Eminence: Developpractical solutions and methodologies; develop "thoughtware" and"point-of-view" documents; participate in public speaking events; getpublished in industry periodicals

People Development: Perform role of counselor andcoach; provide input and guidance into the staffing process; activelyparticipate in staff recruitment and retention activities; provide leadershipand support for delivery teams and staff in local offices

At Deloitte Consulting LLP, our Analytics andInformation Management team is responsible for transforming numbers andstatistics into actionable information for our clients. We help them predict,plan, and adapt their business strategies to meet real-time challenges and confidentlyhelp navigate past whatever obstacles come their way. We take a holisticapproach to data and offer a broad range of integration and analyticscapabilities, including: Information Delivery, Data Management andArchitecture, Performance Management and Advanced Analytics Enablement. Power & Utilities Practice

The Power & Utilitiessector is undergoing significant regulatory changes while shifts in outagemanagement are causing industry leaders to rethink their governance models.Customer expectations for digital connectivity and ease of access are drivingbusiness process redesign around the customer experience. Connectivity to thegrid is key, and companies are adopting new strategies for asset maintenanceand more efficient methods of energy generation and distribution. Deloitte provides 88% of the Fortune 500 P&U companies with Consultingservices now, but moving forward, we have launched a growth strategy to atleast double our revenue over the next 3-5 years. By working withDeloitte s Offering Portfolios to update our mix of services to our clients(digital technologies, SAP HANA, Cloud, Grid and Operations technologies), weare committed to helping our clients work with newly empowered customers,hyper-connected digital ecosystems, and expansion in data.

Required:

10 years of relevant consulting or industry.

At least 6 years of experience managing large technologyengagements

6 years in providing advisory and implementation expertise toclients including use case and business case development for disruptor basedanalytics including

Analytics Strategy-

Cognitive Computing

Machine Learning

Big Data Technologies

Cloud Computing solutions

AI solutions

Analytical Modeling & Visualization

Natural Language Processing,

Tools including - SPSS, R, Apache Spark/MLlib, Apache Mahout orother Open Source Tools; Qlik suite of products, Tableau etc.

6 months of experience designing and implementing proof ofconcept execution to prove the value of Cognitive Computing use cases, solutionoutline and design of Disruptive Analytics solutions

A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Ability to travel 80-100% of the time (Monday Thursday/Friday)

Preferred:

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint

  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment

  • Eagerness to mentor junior staff

  • An advanced degree in the area of specialization
