Deloitte's Operations Transformation for Tax (OTT) practice helps tax leaders redesign their tax operating models through a focus on operations, technology, and talent.
Work you'll do:
Collaborate with our clients to develop their vision for the future of tax, considering data, people, process, technology and governance
Facilitate client workshops to explore operating model needs and analyze alternative solutions
Organize transformation workstream activities and develop workplans to achieve our client's desired outcomes
Align and coordinate resources to deliver workstream objectives and establish accountability for results
Establish, monitor, guide and assess ongoing projects/engagements against established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Liaise with various workstreams and teams within the firm to drive collaboration and integration where appropriate
Identify areas of risk/opportunity, develop appropriate risk mitigation strategies and escalate project issues and risks to management as needed
Identify process improvement opportunities
Develop communications and presentations and ensure communication of project/program initiatives, messages and status to appropriate parties
Facilitate networking across various groups and global member firms, which may include:
Working with/managing virtual cross-border teams
Enabling cross-border issue resolution

The Team:
The OTT team supports Lead Tax Partners in pursuing, transitioning, and optimizing OTT engagements, as well as facilitating OTT Labs - highly interactive workshops designed to help tax executives outline their vision, explore the Art of the Possible, and develop an operations transformation roadmap for their tax departments. The National OTT team also supports the OTT Regional and Local office leaders in developing and delivering their marketplace strategies
Required Skill Set:
Bachelor's Degree, CPA strongly preferred
3+ years of tax compliance and/or tax operations and project management experience
Ability to synthesize and summarize complex discussions, capturing key points in real-time (e.g., in OTT labs)
Collaborative workstyle; able to work across workstreams, prioritize and flex based on demand
Strong analytic and reporting capability
Advanced communication skills, including experience communicating effectively across diverse cultures
Ability to work effectively in an environment of complexity, ambiguity and continual change/evolution
Ability to work virtually with colleagues around the globe; comfortable working with individuals without face-to-face contact; comfortable with matrixed organization with multiple reporting lines
Process improvement, standardization and automation experience
Ability to travel 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Experience supporting client's operating model transformation, (e.g., shifting from a decentralized model to a globally centralized model), including navigating transition considerations and risks
Experience with tax operating model alternatives and transitions, and large scale tax outsourcing projects a plus
Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
