Senior Manager, Benefits (Deloitte Branded Retirement Wealth Accumulation Program)

Work you'll do In this role, you will be responsible for leading the continued strategic and operational evolution of the US LP Wealth Accumulation Program, the Deloitte Branded Retirement Program that includes responsibility for the 401(k), Pension, Financial Well-being, and the Retirement Committee. You will regularly interface and provide guidance to senior leaders, external vendors, our professionals and PPMDs, as well as key stakeholders. This role is also responsible for managing participant escalations and providing subject matter expertise around complex projects and process improvements.

  • Lead, direct and oversee special and recurring projects designed to comply with mandatory regulatory requirements, optional plan provisions, and legislative changes.

  • Recommend administrative changes in response to regulatory and plan updates, ongoing analysis of escalated cases and ongoing improvements in technology and process. Partner with Finance/Accounting to understand financial impact of changes.

  • Oversee plan design changes in accordance with Firm stated objectives and RRWB guiding principles.

  • Oversee the implementation of new plans, programs and changes to plans and/or administrative procedures.

  • Prepare benefit documentation and oversee strategic communication planning, including those related to participant education, financial awareness, and 401(k) participation.

  • Serve on governance bodies to support collaboration and recommendation vetting (as requested).

  • Address complex participant inquiries and manage complicated scenarios.

  • Partner with Vendor Management as it relates to key vendor performance and contracts and SLAs and monitor quality and feedback processes.

  • Develop recommendations and create presentations for management related to plan design, process and technology improvements.

  • Provide program/plan guidance to team on ordinary and complex provisions, inquiries, and special projects.

  • Manage the performance and development of team members.

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent; Advanced business degree preferred

  • 10+ years of experience in Wealth Accumulation Administration

  • Sophisticated knowledge in pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements both adopted and pending affecting employee benefit programs, including ERISA and DOL requirements

  • Qualified and non-qualified retirement plan experience

  • Experience presenting to and influencing executives

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or at any time in the future


  • Experience managing 3rd Party Vendors

  • Ability to work in a virtual team environment with a client service focus

  • Analytical, problem-solver with the ability to analyze, synthesize and draw conclusions from data

  • Strong interpersonal and professional skills with the ability to lead and interact effectively with people at all organizational levels

    The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $113,100-$208,300.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
