Senior Health and Welfare Consultant - USDC

Work you ll do

Prepare self-insured financial projections

Conduct employee benefits diagnostic/planning studies

Develop plan designs and employee contribution scenarios

Manage/conduct competitive vendor search and selection initiatives for medical, dental, pharmacy, life and disability programs

Review health plan performance, including reviewing and negotiating premium rate/administrative fee renewals

Prepare client presentations and reports

Provide day-to-day account service to clients

Build strong relationships with clients based on service

Conduct other general health & welfare consulting activities, as required

Delivering end-to-end transformations of workforce programs, services and processes to identify, build and incent to drive success of organizations and their workforces

Delivering solutions within each workforce domain: Branding & Acquisition; Rewards & Well-being; Performance, Learning & Career Mobility; Leadership & Teaming; Diversity & Inclusion

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree or 5 years of professional experience

5 to 7 years of brokerage and/or consulting experience

Technical background in underwriting

Strong understanding of health care plan design

Knowledge of other health & welfare benefit plans (e.g., life, disability, dental, etc.)

Friendly client presence

Strong organization skills with the ability to handle several projects/clients simultaneously

Well-developed verbal and written communication skills

Proficiency with MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Ability to work independently and develop client relationships

Strong work ethic with a commitment to client service excellence

Travel up to 20% annually (While 20% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice.)

Must live in or within a commutable distance to Gilbert, AZ, Mechanicsburg, PA or Lake Mary, FL.

Preferred

4 years of employer health experience

Underwriting experience

Master's degree is a plus

CEBS designation is a plus

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
