Work you ll do/Responsibilities

Working in a team environment, this position is responsible for specifying, designing, implementing, maintaining Cloud and related infrastructure. This includes virtual servers, storage, and networking components.

The Sr. Solution Specialist also supports or leads capacity planning, explores new technologies, leads process improvement efforts, and provides new designs that increase our capacity, reliability, security and availability, while moving our organization into the technology future. A Sr. Solution Specialist is expected to lead projects and take initiative to solve problems with minimal direction.

Responsibilities:

Support the creation of client transition plans for handover of VPC operations and maintenance activities to client cloud and networking resources

Administer resource usage and cost optimization strategies across multiple AWS accounts

Design and architect new AWS region, application and vpc deployments

Successful delivery of high-quality work products (requirements, design, install, configure, test, maintain, documentation, etc.). This includes review of work products from other staff.

Partner effectively with all team members and leadership to deliver on time.

We help our clients see the transformational capabilities of Cloud as an opportunity for business enablement and competitive advantage.

Cloud Engineering supports our clients as they improve agility and resilience and identifies opportunities to reduce IT operations spend through automation by enabling Cloud. We accelerate our clients towards a technology-driven future, leveraging vendor solutions and Deloitte-developed software products, tools, and accelerators.

Qualifications

6 years of relevant professional experience in a large, diverse, network and security environment

Ability to design, implement, and deploy cloud infrastructure services for AWS. (VPCs, NAT, ELBs)

Previous experience establishing Zero Trust network vision and lead all aspects of design, implementation, and support

Experience working with client IT operations teams to configure and support connectivity between on-prem and cloud environments

Experience monitoring and maintain the health of production cloud environments

Extensive experience creating and updating network standards to ensure that the network is deployed to these standards

Developing Ansible, Terraform, python or similar to automate tasks

Setup and configure Palo alto firewall policies

Responsible for maintaining, managing Palo alto firewalls across multiple accounts

Build scripts for automating configuration and other tasks using tools such as Python, Perl, etc.

Extensive experience in the ability to create and review documentation and process regarding recurring issues, new standard operating procedures, knowledge transfer material, etc

Expert in troubleshooting network, routing and interconnectivity issues, including troubleshooting of network device configuration and low-level application interaction

Working with clients to determine their requirements and recommend the best approach to meet their needs.

Participating and leading troubleshooting escalations with customers and deployment teams for support issues.

Evaluating products that can help improve productivity and efficiency within the environment.

Preferred ability and discipline to work and succeed in a fast pace and organizationally complex environment, to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology, and to lead and manage projects

Must be living or willing to relocate within a commutable distance to Mechanicsburg, PA

Travel up to 25%, only if needed based on project

Preferred

Familiar with consulting methodologies, tools and services

Working with different cloud business models

Working knowledge of ITIL and/or agile methodologies
