Work you ll do
As a Cloud Solution Delivery Manager you will be responsible for all resources located at the Deloitte Cloud Delivery Center. This senior leadership role requires the right balance of business acumen, technical knowledge and operational management. You will help set the entrepreneurial/start-up tone, culture and attitude for the delivery center. Managing the day-to-day talent in terms of developing, retaining and acquiring will be core function of this role. Some of the operational activities you will be responsible for are:
Growing, retaining and attracting top talent
Driving interactions with other practice areas, client engagements or forums
Managing and driving the pipeline of projects being done by center
Owning and maintaining financial reporting for the center (i.e. Profit & Loss statement)
Overall day to day management of work being done and delivered
Managing and resolving personnel related issues
Leading initiatives that will help achieve YoY and revenue targets
You will need to connect with our practitioners, clients and technical experts located in the center to help create a team environment. Your leadership will lead our team to build the right relationships and create our identity. Your role will require c-suite presentation skills and ability to translate technical concepts into business terms. As the leader you will help shape the vision, grow and mature this new practice area of excellence.
Our Cloud Engineering team focuses on enabling our client s end-to-end journey from On-Premise to Cloud, with opportunities in the areas of: Cloud Strategy, Op Model Transformation, Cloud Development, Cloud Integration & APIs, Cloud Migration, Cloud Infrastructure & Engineering, and Cloud Managed Services. We help our clients see the transformational capabilities of Cloud as an opportunity for business enablement and competitive advantage.
Cloud Engineering supports our clients as they improve agility and resilience, and identifies opportunities to reduce IT operations spend through automation by enabling Cloud. We accelerate our clients towards a technology-driven future, leveraging vendor solutions and Deloitte-developed software products, tools, and accelerators.
Overall 8-12 years of experience with at least 2 years of AWS hands-on experience
Experience managing a team of 8-10 members
Experience managing offsite/onsite communication and coordination
Experience with managing Operations and incident management
Knowledge of the primary AWS services (EC2, ELB, RDSetc.)
Experience implementing AWS services in a variety of distributed computing environments desired
Practical Linux and Windows-based systems administration skills
Be a trusted automation and tooling advisor for DevOps initiatives by providing objective, practical and relevant ideas, insights and advice.
Establishing the right tooling and processes that will result in a fully automated release management pipeline to include: Automated build process, environment setups, testing scripts, deployments, and production operational metrics/debugging information
Work with development and operations teams to automate solutions and integrate with other products/solutions.
Hands on knowledge of DevOps tools including AWS CloudFormation, Ansible, Jenkins, Git, Packer
Experience managing production operations
Home office location will be in Mechanicsburg, PA
Travel up to 30%
Working knowledge of ITIL and/or agile methodologies
