The Global Strategies Group ("GSG") is a national specialty group within our International Tax practice. GSG International Tax professionals develop and implement global tax strategies for large multinational corporations. These strategies provide long term sustainable effective tax rate (ETR) reduction. GSG professionals participate on International Strategic Tax Reviews ("ISTRs"), international restructuring transactions and other more narrowly targeted projects such as foreign tax credit optimization, acquisition and disposition planning, and repatriation planning. As a member of this team, you will work with expert U.S. and non-U.S. professionals, including members of Washington National Tax and International Core of Excellence (ICE), to develop client-specific transactions. You will also have the opportunity to be part of the team implementing the selected strategies.

Due to recent significant growth, our practice has needs for professionals at the Senior Consultant and Manager levels.
Specific responsibilities include:
Work with the client and other Deloitte Tax team members to understand the client s tax attributes, treasury strategies, existing tax strategies and business model to identify strategic ETR reduction.
Participate in the process of understanding the client s key ETR drivers, brainstorming over alternative strategies and preparing a strategy assessment report summarizing our strategic recommendations.
Research technical issues applicable to existing and proposed tax and treasury strategies, including working with Washington National Deloitte Tax on U.S. tax issues and with non-U.S. professionals on non-U.S. tax issues.
Analyze data and prepare economic analysis (modeling) as required to design and implement the restructuring.
Work with ETR models to benchmark existing structures and calculate the expected tax benefits of proposed strategies, including GAAP matters.
Participate in client presentations to communicate key strategy drives, alternative strategies, expected benefits and implementation issues.
Create and maintain work programs for all phases of an ISTR.
Coordinate client, tax, treasury and legal professionals in the implementation of tax strategies.
