The Financial Risk, Transactions & Restructuring (FRTR) market offering provides products and services that support the complex life cycle of structured financial products. The Financial Technologies group within FRTR designs, licenses and supports a variety of commercial applications serving the securitization, mutual fund and asset management markets. Our service offerings include operational and process assessments, and quantitative solutions to support the issuance and ongoing administration of all types of financial instruments including complex derivatives, securities, commodities and other investment products. Our core capabilities include transaction related due diligence, analytics and cash flow modeling, structural and document review and post-closing compliance. We license a full range of proprietary technology solutions, customized to the needs of market participants. Finally, we provide advisory services to financial institutions, governmental agencies, finance companies, and commercial entities that participate in the Structured Products market.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, or related field (or foreign equivalent).

Experience in the alternative investment marketplace;

A solid understanding of database systems and financial technologies (such as Investran, Geneva, and Yardi, MRI, and iLevel);

A background in interpreting legal documents (such as LPAs) along with an understanding of common fund structures;

Understanding of capital calls, distribution notices, and priority of payments in the alternatives space;

Strong comfort with Microsoft Excel, SQL, or Oracle;

Experience improving business processes and modeling/translate financial concepts;

Excellent professional oral and written communication skills in order to establish working relationships with client personnel;

A keen interest in technology and alternative investments.

Job Responsibilities:

Support asset managers in designing and implementing financial technology solutions.

Work with hedge fund and private equity clients to build financial cash flow and allocation models on new technologies including Deloitte s proprietary Cascade Suite.

Build reports using Crystal Reports and SSRS and ad-hoc queries in SQL.

Prepare and present complex written and verbal materials such as reports, findings, and systems training.

Help clients streamline operations, automate tasks, and improve processes in their finance, accounting, and operations functions.

Advise clients on tailored solutions for their regulatory reporting and infrastructure needs.

Understand client s business environment and basic risk management approaches.

Demonstrate a general knowledge of asset management market trends, competitor activities, products and service lines.

Facilitate use of technology-based tools or methodologies to review, design and/or implement asset management products and services.

Be on the forefront of new technology in the hedge fund and private equity space.
