REQUIRES ONSITE WORK AT THE PENTAGON

Action Officer to the DoD Deputy CIO for Cybersecurity. Practitioner will support implementation, operation, and development of a project management framework and cybersecurity issues governance process. This shall include development of project management process, tools, and best practices to support the monitoring and execution of DoD CIO programs, actions, and taskers and reporting mechanisms to keep leadership apprised of progress in reaching established milestones for programs/actions/taskers. SME support services will also be needed to assist DCIO-CS directorates in adopting such project management frameworks and developing strategic frameworks to effectively accomplish programs/taskers/actions. SME will help administer the DoD CIO issue governance process to include liaising with resources and forums department wide, identifying issues requiring higher level adjudication to Senior level CIO leadership, and assisting department resources and forums in presenting issues through increasingly higher level forums, as needed, as outlined by the CIO issues governance process. SME will track execution of decisions and directives made through the CIO issues governance process and periodically update senior leadership on departmental progress towards achieving such decisions, directives, and departmental digital modernization objectives. SME will assist the Chief of Staff as needed in coordinating DCIO operations and supporting DCIO leadership and staff in achieving tactical and strategic objectives.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Economics, Political Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Psychology, English or other related degrees

• Ability to identify and manage risks to an organization, its employees, stakeholders, assets and operations.

• Ability to develop or support ERM strategies, objectives and policies that will achieve successful risk identification, management and governance.

• Experience in one or more of the following areas - risk management, internal controls, or cyber risk management

• Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives

• Demonstrated ability to write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience

• Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation creation tools, as well as Internet research tools

• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

• Customer service experience with demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships

• Strong written and verbal communication skills for report writing and client presentations

• Organized and able to handle multiple tasks

Basic Qualifications (Remember OFCCP Compliance)

  • Any basic qualifications, defined as the qualifications a job seeker must demonstrably possess to even be considered as a candidate.

  • These can include degrees, certifications, experience level and skills proficiency. Examples include:

  • Minimum of three years of managerial experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Math

  • 3 years experience with Salesforce

  • 5 years experience with risk evaluation and control
