Work you'll do
Design:
Strategize with clients to identify privacy technology gaps that can be addressed with technology to enable future state privacy goals.
Lead working sessions with client stakeholders to gather technical, functional, and business requirements and establish use cases to inform future state architecture.
Architect:
Navigate complex IT architectures to incorporate privacy technology solutions.
General awareness of global and domestic privacy regulations and concepts, and how they relate to the deployment of technology in line with applicable laws and regulations.
General knowledge of integrating technologies with third-party tools and APIs.
Implement:
Configure, integrate, test, and deploy privacy tools and technologies to help clients automate their privacy capabilities and enhance customer experiences.
Familiar with change management, test plan design and backout plans.
Coordinate with client stakeholders and technology vendor representatives to clarify queries, troubleshoot implementation issues, and test end-to-end deployment and system integrations.
Manage:
Manage and execute project activities across the IT Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including leading regular check-ins with team members and vendors
Lead a cross-functional group of client stakeholders to meet their unique needs in a fast-paced environment.
Work alongside practice leaders and experienced privacy technology professionals gaining industry-leading insights into data privacy.
Develop and maintain technical configuration documentation.
Manage and provide technical oversight to solution deployment and rollout.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or similar Engineering disciplines
6+ years of experience in software design, architecture development, and technology implementation
4+ years of experience with Data Privacy principles such as Privacy Impact Assessment, Data Inventory, Privacy Breach Management, Data Subject Rights, Notice & Policy Management, Consent & Preference Management, Cookie Management, etc.
Ability to travel 25-50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
Experience leading collaborative efforts across organizational silos, including multifunctional teams of IT professionals, legal/compliance teams, and business executives
Familiarity with change management, deployment and operational processes in large IT organizations
Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
Preferred Qualifications:
Technical skills
Understand marketing technologies, including customer data platforms, consent, cookies, tag management solutions
Ability to understand, develop and enhance existing client architectures and solution designs to meet data privacy requirements
Prior experience in performing SaaS implementations for complex organizations and IT ecosystems.
Ability to comprehend and execute basic technology concepts such as Application Programming Interfaces (API's), system requests methods (GET/POST), etc.
Demonstrated experience in performing integrations with Marketing Platforms (e.g., Sales Force Marketing Cloud), Master Data Management (e.g., Informatica MDM), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and middleware (MuleSoft, Kafka)
4+ years of experience implementing privacy solutions such as OneTrust, BigID, Securiti.ai
Hands-on experience and knowledge of software engineering concepts/technologies, such as:
JavaScript, RESTful APIs, HTTP Requests, JDBC, HTML CSS
SQL, NoSQL, database management concepts
API management tools such as Apigee, Postman
Agile/Scrum methodology to build and rollout complex softwaresolutions
Understanding of privacy program requirements and capabilities such as data inventory, data subject rights, consent and preference management, privacy by design, privacy impact assessments, incident response, third-party risk, etc.
Knowledge of Data Privacy Laws and Regulations: Familiarity with data privacy legislation such as GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, and other regional or industry-specific privacy regulations.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively articulate complex privacy concepts to business-facing audiences, such as clients and other team members.
Project Management Experience: Experience in managing projects, including planning, risk management, resource management, and meeting project timelines.
Teamwork and Collaboration: Proven experience in working effectively with diverse teams.
Change Management: Understanding of change management principles and approaches, to enable successful implementation and adoption of privacy solutions.
Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or similar Engineering disciplines
Certifications in one or more of the following: CIPT, CIPM, CISSP, CPDSE, CIPT, Agile/Scrum Master
Experience with application development and testing using one or more programming or scripting languages (e.g., .Net, C#, Python)
Understanding of Ad-Tech / Mar-Tech ecosystem, frameworks, tools, and solutions

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $124,616 - 240,488.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
