Work You'll Do

Key Job Responsibilities:

This position is part of the CMT Design Solution team, which owns the processes, techniques tools, and supporting materials that drive high quality client service delivery for key aspects of design.

You will bring applied experience in design thinking/human-centered design to help shape the future direction of design thinking capabilities across the Consulting practice. You may also work on projects across other areas, including customer experience modeling, business process modeling, and reusable assets, and may assist with support and business operations for design tools including IndustryPrint 5 (Software AG ARIS) and Deloitte Solutions & Asset Manager (IBM RAM).

Manager level may be considered.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Design thinking/human centered design Developing approaches for applying design thinking principles in specific contexts, assessing and recommending relevant tools, helping to create and deliver learning programs, creating and executing plans for deployment and adoption.

  • Develop and maintain domain knowledge in key design approaches, including process design, customer experience design, service design, product/UX design, design thinking, etc.

  • Lead or participate in all stages of product lifecycle, including: define requirements, design processes, conduct fit/gap analysis, create functional specifications, configure software, perform functional testing, participate in migrations/cutovers, stabilize post launch environment

  • Develop and maintain functional expertise in IndustryPrint 5 (ARIS) features, configuration, and customizations

  • Develop and maintain functional expertise in DSAM (RAM) features, configuration, and reporting

  • Deliver level 2 support to Deloitte practitioners, and participate product operations and support tasks, such as archiving content and maintaining support documents

  • Support Design manager in developing work plans by providing input regarding detailed activities and time estimates

  • Provide recommendations to improve use and adoption of Design solution and tools by the global Consulting practice plan, develop, and review materials that enable new and updated tools and solutions, including method documentation, job aids, training materials, communications, etc.

What You'll Bring to the Table

Skills/Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in applying design thinking/human-centered design

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in consulting project delivery, across the full SDLC

  • Experience with solutions and tools that support design (such as collaborative process modeling or journey mapping) and/or asset management

  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies

  • Ability to work autonomously in a virtual environment, and handle ambiguity well

  • Strong multitasking skills ability to meet deadlines while working on multiple initiatives

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills ability to convey messages in a concise manner; articulate complex ideas; create clear presentations

  • Strong organizational skills and proactive nature

  • Requires minimal supervision, independent thinker and worker, detail-oriented

  • Works well under pressure and can effectively and professionally handle tough issues.

  • Strong team player with the ability to work in a culturally diverse virtual team environment.

  • Logical thinker, ability to troubleshoot issues

  • Ability to create MS Project workplans, strong MS Office skills

Additional Skills/Experience Desired:

  • Operational experience supporting technology platforms in production

  • Experience with ARIS, IBM Rational Asset Manager, or similar BPM and Asset Managent tools

  • Experience with Enterprise Value Delivery (EVD) method

  • Working knowledge of agile and traditional (waterfall) methodology and concepts

  • Experience in technology consulting
