Business Operations - Model Based System Engineering

Work you ll do

We have an exciting new opportunity for a mid-level engineer supporting space systems engineering work a large Department of Defense client. You will manage the development, test, fielding, launch, and sustainment of a wide variety of satellite and ground communications systems and networks, including the Advanced Extremely High Frequency, Wideband Global Satellite Communications, and Enhanced Polar System satellites. You will:

Analyze customer requirements and identify, develop, and/or MBSE tools to satisfy those requirements.

Apply to model throughout the acquisition lifecycle from requirements analysis through the disposal of a system.

Integrate requirements and architectures into an enterprise-level baseline.

Conduct technical planning to establish an integrated tool framework and data architecture that supports Model-Based Systems Engineering.

Define data standards, data structures, and supporting technologies.

Integrate enterprise tools, engineering processes, architecture development, risk and issue management, and other systems engineering components.

Manage tests on satellites and ground systems, applying engineering principles and techniques.

The team

Systems Engineering

Our Systems Engineering team delivers large-scale software applications and integrated systems, and assists clients with architecture design, assessment and optimization, and definition. We develop service-oriented architecture (SOA) and other integration solutions to enable information sharing and management between business partners and disparate processes and systems, and we deliver technology enablement to support CIO services transformation.

Systems Engineering professionals focus on key client issues that impact the core business by maximizing operational value, driving down the cost of quality, and enhancing technology innovation. Our teams deliver a wide range of services, including application architecture design and optimization, application modernization, business process management and solution integration, custom application design and development, and large-scale technology delivery program efforts.

Qualifications

At least fifteen (5) years experience in implementing MBSE solutions for appropriately sized (similar to at least Acquisition Category III level) space or ground system software or hardware programs.

At least five (3) years experience supporting the overall engineering integration of relevant System Engineering and Integration efforts for DoD, other Government Agency or commercial programs or projects of similar scope and complexity as the proposed effort.

Master s degree in engineering.

Object Management Group Certified Systems Modeling Professional (OCSMP) Advanced Certification or equivalent certification approved by the Government.

Active Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

15 years of space systems engineering experience.

Masters-level classes in MBSE implementation.

Direct systems engineering experience in one or more of the following programs: Advanced Extremely High Frequency, Wideband Global SATCOM, and/or Transformational Satellite.

Recent experience working with various SysML standard MBSE software tools.
