Deloitte Consulting's Pricing and Commercial Deal Support team has an opening for a Senior Consultant to join us in leading the day-to-day pricing operations and in modernizing the vision, tools, and processes that support the broader Consulting practice.
The Pricing Operations team owns the tools and processes that are used daily by hundreds of practitioners to not only allow pursuit teams to structure and detail the commercial terms and resourcing structure of each engagement we price and sell, but that also translate Practice Leadership's guidance on resourcing structures, provide guardrails in accordance with financial and accounting policies, and create the base data and reporting infrastructure for all pricing activity. Pricing operations is strategically aligned with Consulting Leadership's Business Development vision and enables it in practice. With sophisticated new offerings, resourcing styles, and commercial structures constantly being developed to better cater to the market and our client's needs, we're in the middle of an exciting and dynamic environment that challenges us to continuously modernize our toolset.
Work you'll do
Participate in the day-to-day operations of our pricing tools and workflow, including tool maintenance and one-on-one support for our Practice Leaders
Develop and prioritize new tool features; collaborate with IT to streamline operations and add robustness to our processes
Work with Practice Leadership (e.g., Delivery Transformation, Consulting Business Leaders, Finance) to capture data to monitor the health of the business and enable insight generation, and to translate new guidance and intelligence into our tools
Closely work with Sales Excellence Leadership to develop, champion, and execute on the vision for our next generation of tools and processes
Participate in various global efforts to bring best practices to all our businesses and global teams
You will be joining Deloitte Consulting's National Office Sales Excellence organization, which owns the end-to-end sales life cycle process and supports Consulting's overall success through a range of advisory, operational, and analytical services. Within Sales Excellence, the Pricing and Commercial Deal Support team is a highly motivated and energetic group of specialized professionals that serve as trusted advisors to our engagement teams and business leaders.
Deloitte Consulting's National Office is comprised of professionals with various areas of focus that collectively provide mission critical services internally to support Consulting's overall success. Whether focused on project financials, quality and risk management, methods and tools, sales excellence, talent, leadership support, or other activities, these professionals ensure that our Firm operates efficiently and that our people can effectively serve clients every day.
Bachelor or master's degree, preferably with a focus in a business-related discipline such as Economics, Finance, or Information Technology
Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills; ability to develop and evaluate recommendations in support of complex business problem decision making
Ability to clearly and concisely communicate both orally and in writing to an audience of senior management
Ability and focus to explore a concept in depth and own an experience end-to-end and across various stakeholder groups and systems
High energy and enthusiasm with strong self-management skills and an appetite for learning
4+ years of work experience; proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to travel up to 5%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

Relevant work experience in a business, finance, or consulting role
Experience developing and delivering professional presentations

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $94,000-$171,000.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
