Deloitte National Accounting & Reporting Advisory (ARA) Manager: Growth & Offerings in Lansing, Michigan
The National Accounting and Reporting Advisory leadership team is part of the Growth & Offerings function. The team interacts frequently with Audit Growth, Marketing, Communications, geographic Accounting and Reporting Advisory leaders, service offering leaders, Ideation, Pursuits, Global Assurance and more. As the practice grows, we are looking to continue to execute our strategy and identify mechanisms for further growth and support of the strategy execution.
We are looking to hire a Manager to join our high performing team, working primarily with our National Chief of Staff (Senior Manager) and Service Offering Lead (Senior Manager). This person will primarily be responsible for periodic reporting and analysis, in addition to supporting ad-hoc projects and initiatives. This includes interaction with many of the groups mentioned above, as well as exposure to key leaders within the Audit & Assurance practice.
Other responsibilities will include:
Work with offshore teams to produce and analyze periodic reporting, including historical revenue and forward-looking pipeline
Monitor and prepare presentations tracking progress for key priorities, including materials that will be shared with Audit &Assurance’s Executive Committee
Monitor and respond to inquiries from geographic Accounting and Reporting Advisory leaders and practitioners, and service offering leaders
Assist or lead execution of ad-hoc projects

4 years of public accounting or equivalent experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
Advanced degree in accounting or related field
Familiarity with Deloitte’s Accounting and Reporting Advisory service offerings preferred, but not required
Interest in learning about the internal functions of supporting a practice
Strong project management capabilities
Superior Microsoft Office skills, particularly with PowerPoint and Excel
Ability to work effectively and collaborate with all levels in a large, matrixed organization
Ability to work well in a virtual team environment
Interactions working with / supervising USI
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Ability to analyze data and make sound observations and recommendations
Demonstrated ability to take initiative and comfort interacting with all levels of management
Innovative, creative, curious, willing to learn about, experiment with and champion new ideas and approaches
