Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Solution Specialist, Customer and Marketing, Human Services Transformation in Lake Mary, FL and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You ll Do

Performing financial, logistical, and operational controls for project management covering all stages of a project lifecycle from pursuit phase through project closeout. Performing assessments of existing information systems, and identifying gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities. Estimating time and resources needed for development work. Functioning as an integrator between business needs and technology solutions, helping to create technology solutions to meet client business needs. Defining systems strategy, developing system requirements, processing design, prototyping and testing custom technology solutions, and supporting system implementation. Creating test cases and performing functional, non-functional, system integration, black-box, white-box, and end-to-end testing of software applications. Creating project charters, schedules, and plans, defining project tasks, allocating resources and monitoring project progress. Researching user reported issues, identifying root causes and resolutions, implementing fixes, and liaising between business functions, end users, and technical delivery teams. Creating technical and functional specifications, including screen layouts, navigation flows, logic diagrams, data models, process models, and pseudo code, to be used for application development. Participating in all phases of the SDLC according to Waterfall and Agile methodologies for the design, development and implementation of large-scale technology solutions in the public sector. Gathering requirements, conducting level of effort and joint application design planning sessions, and preparing project documents. Facilitating JAD (Joint Application Design) sessions for the design and development of web applications both internally and externally by understanding client requirements, scope and system design. Analyzing query performance using Oracle SQL Optimizer, executing plans and optimizing queries with hints and indexes. Developing web, stand-alone and content management applications, reporting systems and documentation tools using Java, JavaFX, Drupal, SQL, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Macros and MS Visio, according to Agile and Waterfall methodologies. Implementing J2EE Design Patterns Singleton, Session Facade, Model-View-Controller (MVC) and Data Access Objects (DAO), in Java for the development of web and stand-alone applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering (any), CIS, MIS or a related field.

  • One year of experience in the offered position or a position in a related occupation.

  • Must have one year of experience with:

  • Participating in all phases of the SDLC according to Waterfall and Agile methodologies for the design, development and implementation of large-scale technology solutions in the public sector;

  • Gathering requirements, conducting level of effort and joint application design planning sessions, and preparing project documents;
